I believe the most exasperating thing that can happen to someone when they’re about to have a meal, is to travel somewhere nice expecting to eat something delicious, only to be let down when they find out that dish is no longer available because the ingredients ran out. That’s exactly what happened to me at Sho Teppan, out of the 2 out of 5 times I went there in 2015. One time I was shocked to discover that practically half of the menu was off bounds!
Nevertheless, Sho Teppan’s dishes are worth returning for if you’re in the area. The sweet and salty is sauce is the best part about the meal - I always scrape all of it up from the bottom of the pan. The meat is of good quality too, however sometimes mine is in danger of being overcooked, so if you’re afraid of that happening, you can ask the waiter to help you and they will if the place is not too crowded. The lunch set is very affordable, at just $8.90++, so if you work nearby why not drop by one day?
