Discover a menu of delicate home-cooked style Japanese dishes such as simmered bamboo shoot with yam & French bean, cold beancurd and pork salad with sesame dressing. Enjoy tender slices of kurobuta pork, gently cooked shabu shabu style in a light broth and dipped in a citrusy ponzu sauce.

Big set lunches are definitely worth paying for.

Part of Shokutsu 10 at nex, Tontei serves Japanese food of satisfying portions, as well as taste. Their a la carte menu can be rather pricey, but fear not, for they have a lunch promotion menu, that is extremely worth the money!

Going at just slightly less than $15 per set, you get a main dish that comes with rice, PLUS a bowl of cold soba or warm udon. My favourite set item on the menu is the teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce is a little bit more on the salty side, but take some chicken and scoop yourself some rice, and it will taste just fine! Other than this, tried their pork katsu with cheese. The pork katsu was not bad, but the cheese just didn't go. It should've been melted, instead of just being placed on top of the katsu.

Overall, the set lunch is able to fill my tummy because of the additional bowl of noodles. Mind you, it isn't a small bowl. This set lunch can either be eaten alone, if you can eat a fair lot, or shared among two even. Worth a try, especially if you are a Japanese food fan!
