Pizzas with a distinct taste
Despite their limited menu, the pizzas are baked in a wood fired oven and have a unique, smoky flavour. I particularly recommend the parma ham - the ham tastes smoked and is deliciously paired with a generous serving of rockets. However, after a few visits there, I realised that the wood-fired oven tends to make the quality of the pizzas inconsistent - the same pizza might be slightly charred on one side but under-cooked on the other.
The dessert offerings are limited, but the panna cotta stands out the most. It's creamy and melts in your mouth. Although the sauce is sweet, the tangy berries complement it well.
It's called La PIZZAiola for a reason - skip their pasta and go for the pizzas. It's well worth a visit.
