Karu's Indian Banana Leaf Restaurant Hot
Rememeber to wash down the hearty indian grub with their masala tea, which is well balanced with the spices. A good side dish would be the fish potato cutlet at $1.20 each.

Good curry at affordable price
This restaurant is right near my house, and I can't believe I've only visited it once in my 5 years of living here.
The signboard is utterly ridiculous; it's blue and green and has white polka dots. The font looks kitsch. I don't think a graphic designer had anything to do with this one. The window is tinted and it is hard to look into the restaurant.
Open the door and be ready to be greeted by a plethora of aromas, most notably that of curry. The restaurant is a simple affair. There are several long rectangular tables and chairs, set neatly beside each other. You walk up to the counter and order and they bring it to you. Rice is served on some leaf. The rice is delicious. I'm not sure what they call it, but it's long and white and yellow and very fragrant. Although most of the clientele is Indian and they eat with their hands, the restaurant does provide cutlery.
The servers walk around table to table with curry and rice, which I think is free (you can keep topping up curry and rice). They offer different kinds of curry. I prefer the fish one over the chicken one, as the fish one tasted spicier and more pungent. The chicken masala was delicious. It had the perfect amount of onions, although it was a little on the oily side. But the again, most Indian food is oily, or I don't usually eat oily stuff.
After the meal, my friend and I were shocked at the bill, because we expected to pay much more. All in all, a very good curry place.
