The best high tea in Singapore
I wasn't a fan of high teas mostly because the ones my partner has been dragging me to have turned out to be very mediocre. But she insisted on covering this place in particular for our Mad for Singapore high tea feature. And after that day, I became a believer. I loved everything about it.
For starters the view was fantastic, overlooking Marina Bay and you could sit outside on the deck chairs and admire the view. Instead of being laid out like a buffet, they bring the buffet to you. Three tiers of delectable delights of sweets, treats and savories. I found their creations wonderfully original and delicious. My favourite was the the lobster cornetto. Imagine that! And occasionally they would come around with a tray inviting you to refills. Free flow of course! I must have had 4 lobster cornettos.
This is a high tea afterall and unlike other places which just offer you a few tea choices, it came with a Tea menu where you could order from over 12 types of free flows of Tea. My partner went for the Fullerton Bay special was kinda bland but I liked mine and she ordered another fruity one she enjoyed later. I have been to about 5 supposedly classy high tea places in Singapore and this is by far the winner. In dominates the others in every department from view, food quality and tea selection. Maybe their wait staff could be more attentive but I can't fault them for anything else.
I highly recommended this place to anyone who enjoys high tea or even those who don't. Perhaps you will be made a believer like I was.
