Geek Paradise!

Being a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory, I have always been fascinated by the comic geek subculture. It always seemed such an American thing, where camaraderie is found among comic fans. Thankfully, in Atom Comics, we can now find one such enclave in Singapore.

Atom Comics is run by a man (Bruce Doral-Boudville) who really loves comics, and it really tells when you speak with him. The enthusiasm simply pours through when you talk to him about anything comic-related, and going to Atom Comics is always an amazing experience because of it.

I don't typically keep a lookout for comic shops, so it was an eye-opener when one opened right in the middle of town. Bruce has an extensive catalog of comics, t-shirts, and other memorabilia which are hard to find elsewhere. He is also willing to bring in items upon request, should the demand be high enough. Don't be afraid to ask Bruce if you have any questions about the merchandise, because it is almost certain that he'll have an answer for you!

Atom Comics is one shop I never fail to drop by whenever I'm at The Cathay, because the atmosphere is genuinely nice and geeky, and there will always be the familiar figure of Bruce, ready to welcome another convert into the geek brotherhood.
