All the Superlatives....

Dining at fine dining establishments often entails sets of observation. The dress code (minimum smart casual, collars, no sandals, etc) , electronic equipment usage (silent mode please), children rules, etc, etc, etc.

At The 2nd Floor located at the American Club, it's no difference. Due decorum is expected. While a glance at the luxurious diner's by-laws might turns some away at some point in time, those who do dine here will be amply rewarded with cuisine, service and ambience that are impeccable. You can expect the finest, period.

The perfect harmony of East & West cuisine is in equilibrium here. You can have a "seamless" culinary journey... with dim sum as appetizers and a perfect char-grilled prime Angus Sirlion ( I would really recommend the steak done a'point, as the flavour and texture was nicely balanced) and wrapping up with gorgeous dessert with the "liquid centre" chocolate fondant. I had wanted the Marinated King Salmon that lunch but was advised by the maître d'hôtel that the chef had politely advised an alternative choice of main course, as the salmon freshness was not of the usual that day and was duly returned to the fish vendor. Superlatives come in varied ways, I say.

Such is the sublime dining experience at the 2nd Floor. But do get to know a club member 1st as access is limited to members and their guest. Bon Appetite.
