Great food, great views

We went for lunch during the Restaurant Week for a 3 course meal. The food was delicious, especially the main course, home made tagliatelle with jumbo prawns, marinated tomatoes with mint, lemon essence. The other main course was slow cooked Iberico pork belly, cameralised red apple with thyme, berry sauce. It was nice too, but as it's pork belly, it will be too greasy if one person were to finish the whole plate. Dessert was a yummy Creme Brulee with seasonal berries.

Another point worth mentioning is the nice sky garden outside the restaurant. You can see views of Marina Bay Sands and the city hall area.

Lovely, clean flavours

I've had the opportunity to visit Zafferano during restaurant week and managed to sample their dinner menu.

Initially I wasn't impressed by their menu as it seemed... ordinary and nothing really unique, but I was proven wrong when a simple dish with everyday ingredients was morphed into a really exquisite dish.

I had a salmon carpaccio salad (seemingly plain and boring) but the vinaigrette was spritely and really lifted the dish into a whole level.

My entree was divine where they turned my chicken breast into something flavourful, tender and juicy. Mix it with some porcini mushrooms, mash, and cubed beets and you have a tasty and wholesome dinner fit to soothe the soul.

The place was gorgeous and had an even better view than level 33.

Worth going back there for their sets.
