I am so lucky to have tried it!
I remember how I used to walk past and peered in through the blinds and look at the big bosses in there, and I remember my mother telling me Intercontinental Hotel is a really expensive high-class hotel. I never thought I would ever have the chance to dine in there, but we did, thanks to a lucky dip at a Japanese food fair. We tried it for fun and never thought I would have such luck either.
The restaurant is decorated with a very strong traditional Japanese style. From the entrance where you wait to be served, there is a fake bamboo pathway leading towards the actual entrance into the restaurant. Once you step inside, you see waitresses in kimonos, and you feel as if you stepped into Japan. We have no idea what to order so we ordered a set they recommended, with really fresh sashimi and the best duck meat I have ever eaten.
They also have very good service, the waitress would patiently explain to you what everything is. Yes, of course, it is a fine dining restaurant.
No doubts, it was expensive, but if you are looking for a fine dining restaurant, this may just be the perfect one.
