Authentic Italian Food
I have always been a big fan of authentic Italian food. I went Prego for my anniversary dinner with my wife as i heard many good reviews about it.
The atmosphere was pretty decent and the food was excellent!
You might want to make a reservation as the restaurant is always packed!
For fellow Italian Food enthusiast, i recommend you check out Etna Italian restaurant!
Expensive but really good food.
I first went to Prego as part of a gathering with my course mates when the course had ended.
I was not sure who proposed Prego, but I sure had to scratch my head and google a bit before I knew where it was. I remembered that when I went it, the place was really packed. Almost all the tables were already taken up. Luckily my friends were already there and all I had to do was join them at the table.
i had eaten Italian before but this was the first time that I had it in a high end setting. I guessed I was probably the only one who had never been there. My course mates seem totally at ease and when some bread was served with olive oil, I was wondering what was I supposed to do with it while they were already pouring out some of the oil and dipping their bread into it. This was the first time I eat olive oil in this manner.
The prices are rather steep but I remembered that the food here was really tasty. The seafood pasta uses fresh seafood which taste really nice. However, as the price was rather high, I guessed it is not a place I would frequent often
The Italian foodie's paradise
Italian cuisine has got to be one of my favourites, and Prego does not disappoint.
I was there for a friend's birthday celebration, and the manager had come out to meet us and recommend some dishes for our group, consisting of about 20 people, to try. The bruschettas was incredibly impressive. We tried 3 different flavours and all of them were astounding. My personal favourite was the smoked salmon bruschetta as the salmon literally melted in your mouth.
The pasta dishes were also lovely, I had a seafood pasta which was divine. There was a generous helping of fresh mussels, clams and prawns. The servings at Prego a rather large so 2 plates of pasta can comfortably serve 3 people.
