favourite lipstick and mascara
I have never heard of Korres before being adventurous out of the blue, and decided to buy myself a gift set online at strawberrynet. My gift set included a mascara, eye liner, lip gloss, eye shadow and lipstick; all packed into their very own makeup bag.
I have to say, when I first tried the lipstick on, I thought it was a little too oily for my taste. After some time, I fell in love with it, as it glided smoothly onto my chapped lips. It was my go-to lipstick for everyday use; and even for special occasions. Their waterproof mascara is to die for. It doesn't excessively make you look like a panda and does not clump. Basically, everything you look for in a mascara.
As soon as I exhausted the lipstick and mascara to their very last dab, I decided to pop by their Raffles City store for a look. Though they did have the lipstick I wanted at $39 and mascara at $32, I found it to be a little too expensive. It may be because I bought the gift set before, for only $23! Undeterred, I shall wait for a sale to splurge and stock up on my favourite lipstick and mascara; or even try some of their other products.
lip butters and blushers
My 'holy grail' lip balm comes from Korres. The Korres lip butters are so moisturizing, creamy and adds a hint of color to my lips. I have about 3 pots of them in different flavors and I absolutely adore them! I have very dry and chapped lips so my lip balm usage ranks above anything else. I've tried many lip balms, from high-end to drugstore and I think Korres has the best lip balms available. They are called 'Lip Butters' and come in pot forms in flavors such as Plum, Guava, Jasmine, Rose, Pomegranate, Mango and Quince. Each has different colors depending on your taste. For me, I love colored lips so I own plum, rose, quince and mango.
It's usual price is above $20 but I got it during a sale and paid only $12.90 for it. So I stocked up! By the way, the plum one has a pleasant fruit berry smell.
Another must-get from Korres is the Zea Mays Powder Blush. At $55 a pop, it might not be very pocket-friendly but a little goes a long way and the shade 'Natural' really gives a natural healthy glow to the face. Nothing over the top. Just your cheeks but better. I highly-recommend this! The texture of the blush is also very finely-milled and blends well into the skin. It does not just sit on the skin looking unnatural. This blush is really silky and good! They do sell other items such as body gels and facial cleansers but I have yet to try that, I might give in to temptations should a sale arise!
