The Sambal Stingray I'll have before I die
If I were on a death row, my last meal would be Lucy BBQ Seafood’s Sambal Stingray.
Sambal Stingray is my absolute favourite dish, and no stall does it better than Lucy BBQ Seafood. Even after trying many Sambal Stingrays in Penang, the haven of hawker fare, no worthy competitor could be found. The slabs of stingray served are often of a generous thickness, and were flavorful and succulent. People often complain about the uneven sambal spread, but I actually like the fact that it isn’t too spicy! I liked that I could enjoy the stingray flesh to the fullest extent. With some spritzes of lime juice, the taste of the Sambal Stingray was unmatched.
Lucy BBQ Seafood’s other dishes such as the Sambal Kang Kong, Cereal Sotong and La La are good as well, so don’t bother ordering your seafood dishes separately when you next visit Chomp Chomp Food Centre.
