Mr Baguette, a humble hawker stall nestled within Golden Mile Food Centre, has managed to win the hearts of many with its tasty confectioneries. It offers its own rendition of tarts, toasts and even pizzas through the form of a baguette cup. Managed by a lady who bakes everything on her own, it is common to see the stall thronged with the noon lunch crowd doing massive takeaways. The stall does orders as well, so get ready to hit your parties by bringing in these unique and lovely baguette cups!

Patiserrie Standard at a Hawker Price
If you're chancing upon this hawker stall for the first time, you would definitely be piqued by the items they sell - tiramisu toast, cheese tarts, egg tarts - and all done in an interesting play through well-crusted baguette cups. Classic favourites such as red velvet and banana muffins are available as well, and it gets hard deciding what you should buy.
The very first time I saw it, I decided that I had to get half a dozen egg tarts/baguette cup for my family to try it! I mean, c'mon, it's hawker priced @ $1.20 each and we could have it for breakfast anyway. Even my mum agreed that this was unique and good. The colour is also less yellow than usual, and I'm guessing that the lady used more egg whites than yolks. Which is great, because it's now lower in fat & cholestrol!
Its tiramisu toast is also highly popular, and I did see a couple of OLs have it for lunch instead of other hawker fare (Golden Mile has tons of popular food stalls with nationwide popularity). Some had a pack and then did another pack for takeaway. This is probably something that I would like to try the next time I'm there.
