A great way to round off your meals...at Tiong Bharu Food Centre
"Ice kachang, Bo bo cha cha, Cheng Tng, Chendol,..." just a few popular iced/hot desserts that many of us sweet tooths would love to round off a meal...especially in our hot humid climate. Desserts somehow just make our meals (subjectively) at food centres "more" complete..
Just as char kway teows, bak kut tehs, etc have their popular outlets at certain location or hawker centres...iced/hot desserts stalls have their equivalents too. And Tiong Bharu Food Centre, Liang Liang Garden is certainly one of them, judging the healthy queues ( I am frequent queue contributor (^___^)// )...the usual iced desserts are "enhanced and dressed up" with colourful jelly beads that really stimulate the senses...
A glance at the lighted colourful menu board certainly attracts and "confuse"...every item looks nice. You want one..but which one ? My advice? ... if you are on a calorie watch...stick to the "basic"...e.g Ice Kachang instead of Ice Kachang with Durian. Otherwise, if you are going with the wind... explore, have an adventure,...try the "Milo Dinosaur" - an iced Milo drink with Milo sprinkled on top. Or feeling "traditional"...go with the Cheng Tng, lovely with fresh crunchy water chestnuts. Or have a coconut craving with fibres ? You can't go wrong with the Bo Bo Cha Cha...lovely cubes of sweet potatoes, yams and starch balls drenched with smooth coconut milk and topped with colorful agar-agar beads...
With iced desserts , you can't really go wrong...and it's easy on your wallet..
Life's sweet, have a dessert :-9""
