Tong Ah Coffeeshop
Selling one of the best kaya toast in town, their bread is toasted to a crisp and sliced so thinly which goes so well with their slightly bitter and aromatic coffee.

old school toast goodness.
After hearing postive reviews about this coffeeshop, we paid our first visit here to test their renowned crispy, thin kaya buttered toasts.
However, to our dismay, they were sold out, so we each just got coffees to sip. Their coffees were aromatic and strong, and not dilute and weak like some other places do it badly. I was impressed.
We didn't give up and came yet another time after a meal nearby. Though we were pretty filled up, we ordered their toasts and my parents were impressed with the thin crispy toast sticks that broke so easily, and the toasted bread crumbs were all littered onto the table. The kaya was also coconutty and not too sweet, which paired really well with the fragrant butter and thin bread.
