I was around that area at that time and saw a snaking queue from the stall. I wondered "What's stall is that that can attract people to queue up for 30 minutes just to have a plate?"
Then i saw the name : Balestier Hoover Rojak. i squealed with delight, and rushed to join the queue. I heard stories about how delicious their paste is.
I ordered a small portion to share between 3 of us, people in front ordered 5 packets at a go, there's no wonder the queue is so long.
The paste is really different from the run off the mill ones in market, their versions really attracted me, they were really generous with the paste portion.
However, their youtiao and taupok could have been better. they were not toasted or crisp and hot at all, which left me slightly disappointed.
