Adapted from the early recipes brought by our forefathers from the island of Hainan of China. Hainanese Chicken Rice has since evolved and adapted to become the unique Singapore Style Chicken Rice. Today, Hainanese Chicken Rice is one of the most unique dishes in Singapore and it combines essentials of different types of cuisines in Singapore to create its own flavour. Tourists from all over the world have flocked to Singapore to have a taste of this dish and have many fond memories of its wonderful taste. The recipe used at Sin Swee Kee has been passed down from a chef in a renowned chicken rice restaurant in Singapore and has been perfected over the years to create the unique tantalizing taste that can be found in its chicken rice. Since its incorporation in 2001, Sin Swee Kee’s chicken rice has received numerous praises and thumbs up from its customers.

Unforgettable Flavours!

Just a short distant from the Bras Basah Complex, SSK had always been my favourite lunch time hang out when I was working at the complex.
Even till now, I can't forget the delicious dishes served at the place and often crave their tze char.
Some of my favourite dishes includes XO sauce fried rice which is more for those who can take spices, silky smooth egg horfun, and stewed ee mee.
The portions of the various fried rice are big and filling, so you can definitely eat to your money's worth.

Also not forgetting SSK's chicken rice, many hungry goers are actually there for this signature dish.
Couple with some refreshing pickled vegetables, the chicken rice is true to its reputation!

One plus point unrelated to the food is the free wifi available there, which allowed those with no data plan to roam the internet while waiting for the food to be served.
Service was also up to standard as there are enough staff who would walk around to take orders and serve, thus waiting time was not too long either.

If you looking to have good food at a comfortable place with reasonable prices, this air-conditioned restaurant would not disappoint you!
