I'm glad I had my first frog here!
I used to cringe at the thought of eating frogs, however, after trying the claypot frogs here, I have to admit, they weren't half-bad at all.
We ordered 2 pots of frogs, one spicy one and one normal one, which were served in a delicious dark sauce. The frogs tasted like a little like fish with the texture of scallops. It was an interesting experience-the legs were nice and meaty and the entire process was similar to eating a chicken wing or chicken drumstick.
The congee was terrific, for Singapore's standards. It was a good rendition of Hong Kong styled congee and was lip-smackingly delicious when drenched in the dark sauce.
We also ordered a plate of spinach fried with garlic which was also not too bad.
