Threadbare And Squirrel Hot
A little street off the beaten track. Away from the characterless malls and throngs of aimless wanderers. Here gleaming steel and towering concrete give way to conservation shophouses and a vibrant indie culture.

Beautiful store layout.
I'm a fan of minimalistic store layouts conceptually, but not realistically - it always feel too cold and unfriendly.. but Threadbare and Squirrel's does not. A few minutes walk from the MRT but tucked near the hip Arab St., I think it's target customers are indie kids with cash.
Their clothes and little knick-knacks all seems as if they're carefully picked by someone of good taste, and it's wonderful to be browsing through the store, getting lost in their world. I've never actually brought anything though, since their prices are a bit pricey.
The customer service is alright, they pretty much leave you to your own, which feels refreshing. But, it could be friendlier. I can't stress enough how much a smile changes people's perception of you.
