Springfield is not as popular as similar stores like Topshop and Zara, but I think it should be.
The clothes are of great quality, and the overall theme of the store screams preppy. Think countless sweaters, leather bags and beige pants. The items would suit both the younger set and adults.
Some say that the prices are pretty steep, but in my opinion, they are comparable to prices elsewhere. Given that it is not as well-known, you can also find great pieces that you know won't be replicated a hundred times on the streets.
So, if you're a little sick and tired of the usual names, head to Springfield. I'm pretty sure you would find something to your liking.
Springfield is the ideal place for those that are into American style clothing.
The apparel retailed are both very fashionable and very wearable, suitable for young adults as they are all preppy. At the same time, most of their pieces are rather timeless and can be kept in the wardrobe even when the next season has arrived, more so since the quality of the apparel is significantly better than most and are all rather durable.
Springfield however might not be the place for the budget conscious as the clothes are relatively more pricey. However, for the style and quality, I would say that the pieces are worth their price tag,
I adore Springfield!
I declare Springfield my new favourite shopping destination.
Although Springfield may not look like a very promising retail store from afar, the racks there are definitely worth the rummage for an amazing find. The store generally retails preppy clothing for men and women - think cardigans, knit material, buttons, and warm colours.
Springfield may not be a typical Singaporean's idea of fashion paradise, but the warm colours of the clothing in the store definitely make me happier than any other Forever 21 outlet. The dresses at Springfield are tailored for Caucasians, so they're longer than the usual ones found everywhere in Singapore, so it's pretty much a godsend for taller females like myself, as I need not worry about the skirt flying up each time I walk past a windy place. Springfield also retails kitschy printed tops, which unique prints like bows or cats. A little childish yes, but no doubt adorable and unique! There are a few awry designs, but every store has its hits and misses.
The quality of clothing there is impeccable as well. I hardly see any loose threads on the clothing, and the dresses and tops do not pill. Even the white tops there are thicker than the usual ones found elsewhere, so they're definitely not as sheer and can be worn on their own without much worry!
My only gripe with the store is its price. A camisole can retail for as much as $59 at Springfield, and dresses can come up to $80+. Perhaps not for the budget shopper, but worth the splurge for shoppers looking to invest in a good preppy outfit, as the clothes there are made to last!
