Best Fashion Label
Now, talk about fashion in singapore and names like A&F, H&M will pop out. Slightly less known would be Pull & Bear, owned by Spanish company Inditex, largest clothing company in the world.
What makes it the best? I say is its always up-to-date and time tested fashion sense that does not scream for unwanted attention that is affordable. In fact, I suspect that Inditex owns the best designers' brains as their clothing styles and fabric quality always outshine others'.
Walk into the store and be immersed in cosy, cheerful fashion. Conveniently located at the town areas, there are 4 stores to satiate your latest fashion appetite: two at Orchard, one at Vivocity and the last at Bugis+.
I would recommend a weekday afternoon visit as they will be rather packed on weekends. Also, perhaps the best bargains do not apply to their shoes, quite particularly, as I find their footwear can be quite unreasonably priced at times. But this is all I have to gripe about.
Quality remains the same but why the rise in prices?!
Pull and Bear is one of those shop selling clothes and jeans at a relatively high price. For me, Pull and Bear appears to be a mini version of Topshop. I understand that both shops are selling trending and unique clothes, just that they are selling them at a prices not much comparable with the quality of their goods, which means they are overpriced. Despite the fact that Pull and Bear are selling shirts and jeans at a price cheaper than what Topshop has offered, I have come to realize only recently that, jeans with lesser designs are being sold at $69.90 or even $79.90 which they might have being sold at $59.90 in the past. It is a $10-$20 jump, though the quality remains the same. I thought the jump in pricing isn't realistic and I got a little disappointed with their marketing strategies. Hit Like if you agree with my point, thanks!
Great alternative for brand conscious buyers!
For brand conscious buyers out there, i guess it'd be nice to know that Pull and bear is managed under the same company as Zara. So you'd be able to enjoy the same amount of exclusivity, yet at a slightly cheaper price.
In my opinion, the sales staff was extremely helpful (both Ion outlet and Taka). There was once I requested a new piece at the Ion outlet but they ran out of stock. However, they took the initiative to reserve a piece for me at the Taka outlet.
Also, the materials used is comparable to Zara. Although the fashion styles are somewhat different, they both offer fantastic fits for teenagers to working class adults as the consistently refresh their stock intake and offer a variety of clothing.
Great service, good materials, nice store ambience. I would definitely continue patronising P&B!
Love the shirts!
I was walking through vivocity when I saw pull and bear. I thought that it was a shop that was not worth my time entering, thinking that I would not be able to afford anything there. Thankfully my friend dragged me in, if not i would not have found one of my favourite casual wear brands!
To me, the shirts here are of top notch, for a mere 50 dollars I think it seems quite alright, considering its quality. The shirts are extremely comfortable and some of them can even be worn to work! The clothes at pull and bear have a sense of sophistication yet it remains a casual wear brand.
Pull & bear > Topshop
Personally, I prefer Pull & Bear over Zara or topshop. They have a different kind of style. Topshop and Zara are shops for people who are on the high end of the fashion scale and they carry the latest trends. Pull & bear though, has a simpler concept and caters to people who dress simple like me. That does not mean to say that our fashion sense sucks, it just means that we have a different kind of liking for fashion, okay.
So in Pull & Bear you're likely to find simple prints, striped, colours and basics. I especially like their jeans because they come in many colours AND are priced affordably! (60 dollars/pair of jeans) It is rather comfortable as well. If you're tall, you would know that looking for skinny jeans is a major problem because if it fits the waist/length, it probably is too baggy. However, at pull & bear, you can say goodbye to that problem! The cutting of their skinny jeans is perfect- all the way down to the ankles.
So yes, tall asians find your jeans here!
Relatively expensive items.
Pull and Bear is one of those high-end retail shops. They sell pretty trendy clothes of good quality; but at a very high price. I remember buying a dress which was $100, but it had thick layers inside and was pretty heavy – indicating real solid material of very good quality.
The staff there, fortunately, do not adopt the annoying policy of ‘must-follow-customers-with-every-step-they-take’; which means you will have to approach them when you have enquiries. Well, at least I can speak for the outlet at VivoCity.
It definitely caters to the young adults; and has some working attire clothes for the working class, amongst some other fashion accessories such as shoes and bags. In my opinion, it is another Mango/Zara; but with a much smaller range of items and more pricey. It does, however; sell more funky and trendy clothes than Mango/Zara, fantastic for fashionistas. Definitely not the place to go if you have a tight budget.
In my opinion, I definitely would not step into Pull and Bear even if I walk past it. There are other similar retailers such as H&M and FCUK which sell equally trendy clothes and for the similar quality; but for a much lower price.
Subtle yet unique
Bought a man’s wallet from Pull and bear for $39.90 at pull and bear recently as a gift for a friend. What caught my eye was the textured design on the wallet yet not too loud, which is just right to describe my friend’s taste. It comes with a compartment for coin pouch too! Bought a new floral printed dress for myself as it’s really too pretty to be missed. Pull and bear provides designs that are not too loud and yet has a style of its own. I would recommend it to people that likes uniqueness and yet subtle in its own way.
Pull and Bear features very edgy, rockstar-like pieces- their clothing includes leather jackets and vintage chiffon dresses. When i'm looking for a quick fashion fix, I enjoy stepping into Pull and Bear and trying some of their unique pieces, especially since the grungy look is pretty much my style. Their pieces are definitely worth considering especially if one is looking for such a style in one's wardrobe. It is, however, not for those who like the usual loud and vibrant colours like fuschia and bright yellow, or the usual Korean doll style with lace and ruffles. Expect dull colors with nice structure in clothing. Great price with great quality.
From the style and looks of the price tags of Pull & Bear, it is not difficult to see that it belongs in the same family as Zara, and thus, the position of the retail store is propelled in my heart. The dark and chic interior of Pull & Bear easily invites one to a fashion treat, with the promises of stylish and contemporary street fashion. You wouldn’t be exactly disappointed. While the full range of merchandise does not tug at my heart (and purse) strings, Pull & Bear does offer interesting interpretations to current fashion trends, and most of what it has for sale is decent.
Prices can get rather unreasonably expensive for certain pieces, but majority is above average priced. Quality is, of course, lacking when compared to its sister store (Zara) but one can hardly complain with the difference in amount one is paying.
In my opinion, the menswear section is rather exciting. Surprisingly, I tend to find pieces that I like extremely well. I find that the shoes sold here are attractive and stylish, and can easily rival Topman’s. I find myself always coercing my male friends to get shoes here!
Do pay Pull & Bear a visit, you’ll never know what you may end up with.
Would only step into the shop when passing by
To appear trendy and fashionable doesn't mean that you have to pay such a costly price for the items. We have to be more selective in the items we are picking and only get the ones worth buying. But with so many choices of apparels and accessories to choose from, you might need to bring along your friends or companions for second opinion when you are shopping in Pull and Bear.
As a fashion lover, I would say that Pull and Bear fares on average , not too good and not too bad either.
Here is why, the good thing of shopping in Pull and Bear is this shop is really suitable for teenagers and young adults. They can get anything from printed T-shirts, short, skirts, jeans, pants, rompers, dresses , to shoes, sandals and high heels. Sounds like heaven for girls, yes?
Not only that, men's shoes and apparels are also available here , so basically this shop is a great and a complete space for shopping.
The drawbacks kick in when we are talking about the prices of the SOME items which are not justified by the poor materials used.
Take for an instance, the dresses ( long dresses or maxi dresses). The lining is improper, the materials are bad and threads are seen coming out from some parts. And this could cost above $50.
Another drawback comes from the display of specific items like T-shirts and sale items. They don't seem to be displayed properly and sometimes, it is hard for the shoppers to choose the item of same design, with different sizes as they are placed all over the area.
I don't frequently shop here, but if I pass by Pull and Bear, I would definitely pay this shop a visit.
