Teenage girl's dreams come true
Forever 21 is really a store that sells clothes for teenagers. It's trendy and cheap, and isn't pretentious with all their branding and stuff. Really nice place to shop at. Loved it when I was back in junior college. Would definitely recommend this place to the teenagers to shop at.
Not for forever
Forever 21 used to be a staple in my wardrobe. Whenever I went on a shopping trip in town, especially the 313 outlet where there are four floors, I never went home empty handed.
However, I find that recently the physical stores have been quite disappointing. The quality of the clothes they produce has dropped. It's thin and feels like it would wear out easily. As for the design, they still keep up with current trends, like styles or prints, but some of it has become too common and generic to be appealing anymore. The prices have also increased even though the quality has not.
Once in awhile, there are a few pieces that catch my eye but now, more often than not, I browse for around 10 minutes before leaving. The online store has many more items available, and if you purchase it via spree, it is often cheaper too.
I used to frequent Forever 21 often due to it's wide collection of clothes and good quality but not anymore.
The designs sold by Forever 21 are getting too mainstream and perhaps due to the increased customer pool, I can easily pick out someone with the same top I own at least once a day. For us girls, you know it's not cool anymore to be wearing similar-looking tops. ):
The prices have also increased a fair bit since their opening quite sometime back. Most of their designs, I can find them online at a cheaper rate. There are also more to choose from and therefore more unique!
I do love that they have everything under one roof: Apparels, Shoes, Accessories etc.
Wearable for a few occasions
Forever 21 is like heaven to girls who constantly piles up their wardrobe with new trends every month. For me, its like a treasure hunt. Every time I enter into any of the F21 store, i would quickly glance through the whole store. Most of the clothings are so called "a cheaper alternative" to those that celebrities would be caught wearing. I always find myself looking for unique pieces but it mostly repeated designs just in different colour and patterns.
However, I would only purchase those that I think its worth my money. I try my best to not used the product so often or else, it will either shrink or expand despite following the washing instructions.
As for the accessories, I do find them a bargain especially when the tags are in pink instead of the yellow tag. The pink ones can be as low as $3 for a pair of earrings or a ring. Some of the necklaces are as low as $5! Perfect for little gifts if you have a low budget.
I actually think I only really shop at the 313Somerset outlet, probably cos I'm just so enticed by the grandeur of 4 floors. HAHA. And I always always go straight for their accessories.
They are so affordable! For most of them only anyways, there're some that're really pretty, but just crazily over-priced, in my pov that is. I really love the arrangement of the things there, which allows yours truly to have fun picking through all the trinkets littered across all the counters. It literally feels like I'm at a flea, just with air-condition and that bit more class. I only ever do purchase bangles, bracelets, rings and earrings though. I wouldn't dabble with their necklaces cos they all look so brittle and fragile. Which they actually really are. I've seen them fall apart with a mere tug. But if you're looking for mere fun, especially with those below $10, they'd make great. And you can probably use the remnants to diy your own accessories too! (YouTube tutorials teach you everything.)
I don't really buy much of their clothes. The quality doesn't seem all that impressive for the price they ask for. And designs aren't exactly unique.. Service ain't fantastic if you're one who likes helpful staff. But if you're brusque like me when it comes to shopping, it's perfectly fine by me. Except if they judge you at the cashier, which has happened before. Otherwise, go for their accessories (just not the necklaces...)! ^_^
A few weeks back, as an after examination treat, my friends and I decided to take a look at Forever 21, as we were told that you could get quite the bargain there. Entering the shop, Nicki Manaj's single was blasted from the speakers and made for a poor first impression. I just wanted to finish the shop as fast as possible and leave.
While I did spot a few good buys, most of the dresses were far too short! They barely brushed my upper thigh. I'm about 168cm and I would wear their dresses as shirts. Their shorts were also exceedingly lacking in fabric. I personally did not get anything from the store but my friends did pick up a maxi dress that cost about $21.
The service is not very consistent, when we first entered, our queries about the sizes available were brushed aside by a group of chattering salesladies. We left. When we returned again (my friend decided she really liked the dress), the lady at the counter went as far to stripping a mannequin to get a size. That was lovely of her!
However, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
It is every girl's paradise to step into the amazing 4-level storey of forever 21 in Somerset 313, including mine. Forever 21 offers a wide variety of clothings, ranging from casual wear to work dresses, party wear and also a good selection of lingerie and accessories. The price is reasonable and the quality for the price is well-justified. It may not really suit people in their mid twenties and above as the clothes tend to be more youthful and vibrant for school and dates. I think the service at F21 is also thumbs-up as the staff are always around when you need them and they will promptly help you retrieve clothings that are placed higher in the racks.
Forever 21 can get pretty crowded during weekends and waiting time for the fitting room can amount up to 15 minutes. So, it will be more advisable to shop at F21 during the weekdays.
Forever 21 is a must visit shopping haven for shoppers who enjoy cheap and money-for-value deals in Singapore. The clothing prices are almost the same as those sold on the American websites, especially considering how expensive shipping fees are.
Most clothes range from around 20-40 dollars or so, and most of them follow the latest runway trends. If you are ever in need of a fix to get some affordable clothes, this is indeed the place for you. For students, there is even a 10 percent discount for purchases on weekdays. This is definitely an irresistible deal that you cannot miss out!
Forever 21 is one of the more affordable shopping destinations along Orchard Road and also offers relatively attractive and recent designs. It is hence one of the more popular brands in town. The sales assistants of Forever 21 do not leave a particularly deep impression, probably because they are seldom seen around, which does not actually matter all that much since it is unlikely one needs help anyway.
Forever 21 seems to be just another store, albeit a very large one. It lacks its own distinctive style and character. A good place to purchase basics due to its affordability, but I would move on to other stores to purchase everything else,
Not my taste, maybe?
Forever21 has always been a place that i will go to when i am at Somerset for some shopping spree but it does not mean that i always get to buy something there. The apparels put on display are suitable for teenagers, party-goers and maybe the office ladies however, i fail to buy anything there for a couple of times now. Sometimes i find that the quality does not match up to its price and sometimes i find a little details here and there that tempts me to detach from the blouses and dresses or otherwise, i would have gladly purchase them.
