Crack & Press is a Japanese-inspired fusion cafe specialising in gourmet sandwiches and free-range egg dishes that incorporate a Japanese umami twist. At night, this joint transforms into the sake bar, Copper on Stanley. Popular favourites include their sake-Kasu braised pork belly sandwich and Gibraltar coffee wherein all of their coffee is sourced from Liberty Coffee.

A Rose In A Garden Of Mainstream Cafes
Move aside, mainstream cafes and mass-produced coffee. Crack & Press has broken this trend with their innovation and has definitely instilled in me more faith in cafe grub. The Japanese-fusion concept of this quaint cafe located along Stanley Street gives a good spin on typical cafe food that many have come to avoid like the plague.
Two must haves on C&P’s menu include the Sake-kasu braised Pork Belly Sandwich ($14) and Japanese Mushroom Bruschetta ($12) So. Good. The caramelization of the Pork and creamy mushroom mix complement the fresh, homemade bread baked specially for C&P. Not to mention, they even serve Gibraltar coffees at C&P. Where can you even find that nowadays?! The coffee beans are supplied by Singaporean coffeeroaster Liberty Coffee and makes me glad that I’m contributing to some local produce.
As this cafe is transformed into a sake bar in the P.M., opening hours are on the short side and C&P officially closes its doors at 3.30pm. So remember to make your trek before then!
