Love at first taste with Louisiana Rub
I've tried Louisiana Rub, Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper and a few more.
It's a love at first taste towards Louisiana Rub. Wings are best when it's fried. The spices are so fragrant and peppery, it's also not overly salty. Louisiana Rub has became the main reason why I'm revisiting Wing Stop. Their Jalapeño Cheese Fries is a must try too! Lemon Pepper comes with a very strong piquant smell and taste to it. I didn't really fancy it, but bf said it was nice. Garlic Parmesan might be popular among some of the cheese lovers, the powdered cheese resembles those used for pizzas and pastas with some Garlic in it.
Reading all the hype about the first outlet of WingStop in Bedok Mall, I decided to pop by to try out this American chain. I've never heard of it while in USA, but I do miss buffalo wings a lot. Hence, I convinced a bunch of friends to have dinner there with me. We ordered a family combo meal, which had 30 classic or boneless wings for $39.95, comes in 3 flavours, 2 large sides and 2 large drinks.
We picked classic wings, which are basically wings with bones. The 3 flavours we chose were Louisiana, Terriyaki and Cajun. Louisiana was a little sourish in taste, Cajun was like your typical fried chicken and Terriyaki in my opinion was the best tasting of the lot because it made the chicken sweet and tasty. We had to wait approximately 15 minutes because the wings were made to order.
Frankly, the sides were a little small although they were labelled "large".. I can't imagine what small would look like. The wings, although decent, were not as good as the local ones I tasted back into the USA. Furthermore, I thought buffalo wings were meant to be meatier. They looked like they used local wings that were a tad too skinny for a satisfactory meal. Having said that, they had 7 other flavours which I have yet to try, I'll probably pop by again soon to try them all! :)
