I think one sentence can pretty much sum up what I feel about Sarpino’s; Simply Love Their Pizzas! But I shall elaborate more to justify why.
Not only is it quick and easy to order and get your food, the food is absolutely delicious in taste and texture and the level of satisfaction you get from that one slice is more than eating one whole pizza from pizzahut.
You do not have to wait for the pizza to be prepared. The slices are already displayed for you to choose from, and even though they have been left out, the quality of taste has not been diminished, nor has the warmth of the bread been compromised. The pizza still reaches your mouth warm and flavourful. They are extremely generous with the toppings and you can be sure that you get the full flavour in every bite because the meat or cheese is strewn evenly and substantially over the pizza base.
There is also a wide range of flavours to choose from and for a non-beef eater like me, I would like to have other choices besides Hawaiian. Indeed, their spicy chicken pizza did not fail to deliver and I was rewarded with all kinds of loveliness in that one slice. Definitely a place I would keep going back to.
The overwhelming gastronomic fragrance beckons me into the Sarpino shop whenever I turned around the corner of the road.
It doesn’t smell like “just a pizza”. Usually Canadian 2-for-1 pizzas will be my choice to cure my cravings due to the wide choice of ingredients and very generous toppings. Honestly, it was also because of the buy 1 get 1 free deal.
Unable to resist countless seductions, I finally stomped into the shop, with eagerness and determination, ordered the largest pizza on the menu. That taste lingered on my tongue for more than 5 years. The crispiness in the crust, you can literally hear it in your ears. Crunch. Crunch..
The meticulously baked minced beef meat dressed with melting Mozarella Cheese….
Oh Well, I didn’t return for more due to the price tagged on it.
At present, Dominos is leading the pizza market with its uniquely spiced ingredients and top the chart with its price higher than those of pasta mania.
Good news for me and Sarpino’s Lovers, 1 for 1 deal is available! Yes! A reunion with my forlorn love. Mexican, Midnight Express and Butcher are my top recommendations based on a meat eater instincts.
The meats retain enough moisture after baking. Unlike those dry Pizza Hut's meat getting sunburned in the oven.
A regular 10” - $25
Medium 12” $30
Large 14” - $35
I have not tried their Lasagna before. Looks great in the photos. But I suggest against ordering the side orders. It is either the food that are non-appetizing or the photography standards need to be reviewed by the management again.
Look at those dark looking chicken wings in the family combo meal. Too much black pepper topping?
Online delivery available. Prompt delivery as of standard delivery time frame.
Sarpino's pizzeria may not be the first thing on your mind when it comes to ordering Pizzas. We are all too familiar with Pizza hut, Canadian Pizza and Domino pizza when it comes to ordering pizza in Singapore. But there is something very appealing to the Sarpino's pizza that i urge you to at least give it a try. They may not have many branches in Singapore especially for dine in patrons. But you can always call them for a delivery and it will be send right to your doorstep.
What sets them apart from the rest of the other pizzas are that they are almost close or even authentic to the real pizza's serve in Italy. They specialize in authentic Italian and Mediterranean dishes and incorporate them into their pizzas. Their dough are hand made and are very light. You can keep it overnight and reheat it the next day and you will feel as if you ate them fresh just like the day before. Their best seller is the Super Value 5 cheese pizza and as the name sounds, it is fully loaded with cheese and only cheese. Their main ingredients of the pizza are mozzarella, Edam, Feta, Cheddar and Parmesan Cheese. Perfect for cheese lovers.
Their gourmet special pizzas are not too be missed too. Head on to their website and you will definitely be spoil for choice. Enjoy!
I was quite disappointed when I learnt that their sit down outlet at East Point was closed down, I thought it was closed for good. Luckily, Sarpinos Pizza still offers delivery services, and the taste of the pizza does not change one bit.
I like Sarpinos because the crust of their pizza's are nowhere near thick, and I like that. The dough is all handmade, and I feel that at times they are much more better than the overrated Pizza Hut. Give Sarpinos Pizza a try, because once you have one, you will be hooked.
Sarpinos is one of my favorite food delivery services because of their unique variety of pizzas. They also definitely do not skimp on the toppings and cheese, but rather, they manage to do so without going overboard.
If you are bored of the offerings from the more popular Pizza outlets like Pizza Hut and Canadian Pizza, do give Sarpinos a try as they are quite good. My recommendations would be the Kalamata Delight and the Chicken Pesto Pizza. The ingredients are fresh, toppings and crust are just nice, and of course, price is relatively reasonable when compared to other delivery services.
I find that while the toppings are rather generous and the crust soft although thick, I do not really appreciate Sarpino's pizzas. I find that they are not very flavourful and taste pretty average. Their oven baked pasta was pretty regular as well.
Also, as I went to the outlet at Jalan Pemimpin, there was a home-made touch to the food served there as well as to the interior decoration which made it very cozy. It is probably a franchisee. However, this made the service pretty slow as there were few workers since the business is home-owned.
Overall, the food isn't too bad although not outstanding. I would not mind eating here with friends as they offer student meals as well. They have also recently opened Take-Away outlets (e.g. at Bugis) which is really convenient as you can simply buy slices of pizza. Common to almost all pizza parlors in Singapore, Sarpino's also offer the 1 for 1 pizza promotion for deliveries.
Although the crust of the pizzas at Sarpinos is slightly thick, the bread is not hard, but soft and chewy. It serves a variety of different pizzas with different toppings, but my favourite few will be the double pepperoni and five cheese pizza.
The whole pizza of the double pepperoni will be filled with pepperonis and with each bite is a mix of meat, cheese and soft bread. They do give quite a thick layer of cheese as well, and eating just the cheese and bread is quite nice as well. For those like cheeses, like myself, the five cheese pizza is definitely a must try. The smell and the taste of the mixture of cheeses is not overwhelming. However, it will be good to share this pizza with friends as the taste of simply just cheese can get a little boring after the first slice.
After shopping for a whole afternoon, a slice of Sarpinos pizza at the basement of Bugis Junction makes a lovely afternoon snack. They do offer to reheat certain types of pizzas automatically, especially those with meat on it. Otherwise, it is also possible to request for a reheat as well, as the staff are helpful and patient in waiting for the customers to decide on their desired pizzas and acceding to the customer’s various requests. Having just a slice of pizza, priced at about $5, is definitely more expensive than buying the whole pizza though.
This pizza is probably way over-hyped. Like many others, I bought into the hype and tried Sarpinos. In my mind, I was hoping for authentic tasting pizza like the one I had at Tomato's. But it did not deliver such pizza. Instead, I found it average tasting and just a mix of ingredients placed on baked dough. I did not feel the wholeness that a pizza is supposed to have. I tasted and felt that the dough and various ingredients did not meld together wholly to form a good tasting pizza.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very italian-ish with the whole decor thing going on. I was partially fooled by that. This is a case of 'do not judge a book by its cover'. Great decor but less than average food. Well, the decor worked in pulling customers (like me) into the restaurant though. I would rather eat Pizza Hut which doesn't claim to be 'authentically Italian'. Takeaway services are available as well and don't be cheated by the 'takeaway' word, from the general consensus of the reviews below mine, it takes way too long and the takeaway might make you feel like walking away. Dear Sarpinos, If you create a claim then by all means live up to it so that you do not disappoint your customers! Till then, away you go, Sarpinos!
I’ve always been skeptical about pizzas from shops other than Pizza Hut but I decided to give Sarpinos a try. It turned out to be quite nice! It isn’t too rich or thick that makes you want to stop eating after a few slices. I had the BBQ Chicken and Double Pepperoni pizzas. They were full of ingredients and the crust wasn’t too thick or thin. The cheese completed the pizza and made it taste so good!
The chicken wings were tasty too. It’s spicy and reminded me of Pizza Hut’s spicy drumlets. There is a small similarity. The taste can’t be found anywhere else except at these two pizza restaurants. Maybe it’s a pizza restaurant thing.
A bad thing about Sarpinos is that the restaurant is very smoky and heavy with the smell of food! When I first walked into the restaurant it was really very smoky so much so that it looks as if there’s a light fog. The staff weren’t doing their job too. They were doing their own business at the back instead of doing their duties. As a result, many tables were not cleared and the place looked messy and dirty.
Also, the prices are quite steep. I wouldn’t say it’s very worth it because it’s really too expensive but the food was okay.
I cannot comment much on its ambience as i normally ordered take out. There was a branch at Eastpoint Mall not too long ago and i had purchased mine there. It might not be the general consensus but what i experienced was not very pleasing. As it was my first time and after listening great reviews about it, naturally i had to try some for myself. The pizza i had was not up to my expectations at all. It might be unfair but naturally, i had compared it to the most obvious source of pizza in Singapore - Pizza Hut.
I had to stay and wait a considerable amount of time which, to be fair is quite understandable. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. But i thought otherwise when what was given to me was not as fresh or as tasty as a newly baked pizza. The taste was alright, but it was not enough to win me over. I'd place it as third to Pizza Hut and Canadian Pizza, mostly based on the quality. However, all criticisms aside, i would give it another chance as there has to be a basis to all the praises it's getting. It could be that it was simply a bad day and it might not be fair to base it wholly on that one incident. Looking forward for another slice of Sarpino's.
Of all the pizzas that I have ever tasted from different restaurants, this is the best pizza and I have been a regular customer to this particular Sarpino Pizzeria. Although they do not have much outlets around Singapore and a limited seats for dining in, they will deliver to places within their districts and it does cover all of Singapore. They have one in Woodlands that cover up till Upper Bukit Timah area. Of course, the delivery time will take less than an hour but still, they will come hot and fresh for you to consume.
I have tasted almost all the flavors of pizza that they serve. My favorite is Ranch Style Chicken in yoghurt based. You can choose either tomato or yoghurt based but I like yoghurt better, it tastes even more addictive than tomato based on all normal pizzas. It has chicken strips which are grilled, turkey ham and bacon and also vegetables such as green peppers, tomatoes and onions with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. It fills up the whole pizza based that even I can’t finish up the whole pizza. I like how all the ingredients fall in place on all the slices and you can taste the yoghurt and cheese melting in your mouth.
If you are a big eater, you can in fact finish all six slices!
