Splendid public pool in the West...

If there's one public pool that my little girls keep pestering me to bring them on weekends's a Jurong West Swimming Pool (JWSP). There is another public pool near my block...just a 3min drive away...but it's always Jurong West that takes the cake.
It might be a individual lifestyle choice...but having enjoy the facilities there, I can safely recommend this venue to any parents living in the west to put it on their weekend leisure list (especially for those with their own transport).

The JWSP is housed within a complex that includes jogging track (with football field) and most importantly, a reasonable Japanese cuisine restaurant (the Nihon Maru (Suki group of restaurants) at level 4, accessible quickly by lift just outside the pool entrance/exit. Always a great place top up hungry stomachs after a fun 1-2 hours at the pool.

Of course, the various aquatic play stations at the kiddy pool is also the main attraction. I had wanted to shoot more pictures but was discouraged by the life guards :-(...The bid slide is great fun but as in all big slides, requires a good climb up the tower. And "lazy stream" circumferencing the kiddy pool playground is great for current assisted drifting. The outdoor jacuzzi is nothing to shout about and get busy at peak hours.

So for $2 per adult (weekends) and $1 per child (weekends)'s really a great place in the west. Car parking is readily available at the complex itself or at the multi-story car park opposite.
