History was resurrected at Sentosa Spooktacular and plenty came forth to walk through the spine-chilling gates of Images of Singapore. The museum-turned-haunted-house was the epicentre of Halloween with its ghoulish delights and iconic Asian ghosts. Kudos to all of you who came and survived, and for those who didn’t – we hope you are brave enough to relive those nights of horror through this gallery!

Spectacular Spooktacular

I give it five out of five stars because I have to admit that it scared the hell out of me.

I am the type of person who finds neither "The Conjuring" nor the "Insidious" that scary. However, Spooktacular 2013 is a whole new game for me. I attended all five trails. My favourite was "Body" and my least favourite was "Pee Mak".

The "Body" was probably the longest trail and it was the most thrilling one of all. It was the only trail that required us to walk in the outdoors. The trail re-enacts a haunted hospital and so, many body parts all over the place. Personally, I like gory and morbid stuff, so of course this trail was such a sight for me. The whole set was so cool and at the same time, terrifying.

I didn't particularly dislike any trail, but Pee Mak just didn't meet up to my expectations. Then again, Pee Mak is a horror-comedy, and indeed, comedic elements were included. The ghosts taught us to perform a dance on the spot and we had to follow. It does feel creepy to dance with ghosts watching you though.

The other trails include: Shutter, The Dorm and Coming Soon. They were really spooky too, re-enacting scenes from the respective movie. So it's better to watch the movies before you go.

Personally speaking though, I felt that most of the time we'll be walking in such darkness that what I fear is falling down the stairs more than the ghosts popping out. It is that dark inside. Truthfully speaking, I was hiding behind my boyfriend for almost all the trails. The ghosts seem to target me and not the rest of the group. Being chased by ghosts in Spooktacular is an experience I wont forget.

Although I was frightened and chased so horribly by ghosts the whole night, I have to say, it was really fun and worth the experience!
