Authentic and delicious Italian cuisine and perfect ambience

If you are thinking of bringing your partner to a romantic restaurant in Singapore, one of the places I would recommend is definitely Da Paolo Bistro Bar.

Located in Rochester Park (Buona Vista), Da Paolo Bistro Bar offers alfresco dining in a stylish, laid-back environment.

Having lived in the italian part of Switzerland, Lugano and travelled to Milan frequently, I would say that the food is also exceptional and even surpasses with the authentic italian cuisine I had back there. I would say that this is one of the best italian restaurants in Singapore

Here are the dishes I would recommend

Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Mango & Shallot Dressing ($22) - Really refreshing on a warm Friday afternoon.
Butternut Pumpkin, Carrot and Orange Soup with Chives and Cream ($14)

Main course:
Grilled Fresh Sea Bass with Cucumber Relish, Potato Gratin , Baby Asparagus & Saffron Hollandaise ($31).
Truffled mushrooms with Mascarpone & mozzarella ($28)

And of course their famous tiramisu is a MUST TRY!

Good tiramisu!

Hidden in Rochester Park, Da Paolo Bistro Bar is easy to overlook. One has to descend a slope from the road in order to reach it, and so many will walk past it without even noticing it.

Came here once with my friend for lunch. The two of us ordered the 3 course set IIRC, and we managed to rack up a bill of over 100! I still remember the price of sparkling water: $12. It had me balking in disgust.

However, if you can look past the price, the food here is excellent. It was very quiet as well, and the waiter was very attentive and friendly.

Try the tiramisu! You won't regret it. Seriously.
