There is a new wave of spanish craze recently in Singapore and i guess the sharing food thing is very Asian as well.
Back in Barcelona, i had the worst spanish food ever maybe because i picked tourist traps along la ramblas and went to fusion restaurants that served me fried wanton for 15euros and explaining to me in detail what they are. I lost hope in the cuisine but decided to give it a go once again recently since its getting so popular here.
Boy am i not disappointed and i can proudly say i love spanish food! Don Quijote has a very unpretentious atmosphere and you feel like you are in someone's home. The blue cheese steak (cubes if you are ordering tapas, i had both and they are amazing) is super yummy. The paellas are also very good. We ordered lots of tapas and had a fun time sharing everything.
Thanks to this restaurant, i'm now ready to take on more spanish restaurants here and of course, i have my eyes set on Catalunya, which is always fully booked.
