My sister recommended this place for its beautiful view of the Marina Bay area. Indeed, there are plenty of photo opportunities should you visit at about lunch time! The sides of the restaurant overlooking the Bay are mostly glass, which gives the place a very light, airy feel. Overall, the ambience is pleasant and quite unique.
However, the food was unimpressive, came in small portions, and was definitely overpriced. We had high expectations for their signature suckling pig, which the waitress cut using a small, flat plate right next to our table. Though it was delicious, it wasn't particularly remarkable, and in my opinion was not worth the cost. I won't be visiting it again!
There's been a lot of hype around Catalunya and I must say I do not have the same sentiments. Unarguably, the ambience is gorgeous and the view of the Marina is breathtaking, however, the food is another story. We ordered their patatas bravas, cod fish exquiexeda (fish ceviche), chorizo y estrellados (chorizo, scrambled eggs & potatoes), and must say they were all incredibly average. The suckling pig, cost a fortune, and was unfortunately, quite gamey. I do think this restaurant is worth a visit for its atmosphere alone, but only if you're willing to fork over quite a fortune for mediocre food! My husband and I spent a whopping $500! The tapas alone are average priced, but the mains and drinks are what really gets to you!
