Beyond kicks and punches...

Before I commenced on this review, for the purpose of transparency, I feel that I should clarify that while I am a long time acquaintance of the club founder and a member of the taekwondo club, there is no conflict of interest, nor vested interest and monetary advantages or benefits to be derived from penning this review.

Rather my approach is one of a grateful parent who witnessed clear and positive development of his daughter who undergone training with the chief trainer (Master Patrick Tan), whose patience and professionalism are most exemplary. Of course, there are many venues offering taekwondo classes just minutes from my house but having gone through the rigours of the martial training myself, I fully understands the effects and importance of a qualified trainer. That's why the 1 hour drives (each way) from my house to training venue are well justified. You might be pleased to know that the club have a team of experienced dedicated instructors to shore up the training and as such the trainees are well taken care of.

Every parents aspire the best possible for their children. But in taekwondo training, the benefits of the martial art takes time to manifest and once the process starts and the learning gain momentum, any missteps from the onset (should there be) are frequently difficult to rectify. That is, any less than favourable traits (be it values, techniques or forms itself) involves equally tremendous "un-learning" to "re-learn".

Which is why, with Master Pat Tan's mentoring and experience...the odds are taken out of the equation. He have many years of training experience and also adopts neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) approach in his classes to enhance the learning process. And when one witnessed his mastery coaching (especially of young children) ... they will know they are in place with the right person.
