Facial treatment essence
I started using SKII's Facial Treatment Essence (FTE) - the one advertised on TVs and everywhere else. I am 22 and have combination skin, not much acne problems but they do pop up every now and then especially during exam periods. I've decided to invest in a bottle of FTE after reading many positive reviews and a handful of negative ones. The general consensus is that SKII products are more suitable for older women and "mature skin types" and I was a little worried at first because one bottle of the FTE isn't cheap and I would of course, want to witness a "miracle" on my skin with the disciplined use of this miracle water.
I use it twice a day, once in the morning after cleansing and toning and once at night after cleansing and toning. I pour it on a facial cotton pad and pat it all over my face. The first few days I didn't notice any difference (tbh I would be worried if I notice a drastic difference in a few days) but after 2 weeks or so of consistent usage, I started to notice that my skin became more radiant and my pores were much less visible. My hormonal pimples started to clear up as well!! My skin also felt smoother and tighter. I am now 1.5 months into the routine and my skin has never been better. Of course, I do not just rely on the FTE to keep my skin clear. It is important that you also clean, tone and moisturize your face daily in order to maximize the efficacy of the FTE.
Not just for older women
Every girl would know of this luxury skincare brand, SK 2. With my mum being a loyal user, I’ve the humbling chance of using this much talked-about brand as my daily skincare regime.
Like many teenage girls, I used to stereotype SK 2 as: For the older women only. That is however, not true. After getting consultation from their Taka counter, I was told that girls from as young as my age then(18), should already start using SK 2 to achieve optimum results. Their range of skincare doesn’t fully aim at reducing wrinkles, scars or years off your face but instead, works more at preserving them. Hence it’s important to start young.
Unfortunately, their products are all really expensive and many can’t afford to use them even daily when it is one that effects over prolonged and sustained use.
I can say confidently that my complexion has improved since then and have been maintained pretty well. It surely is something every girl should invest in once we’re capable enough to support ourselves because you can most definitely save on cosmetics if you've good skin!
