Hiding with the help of my green fairy
Because I have pimples that pop out every now and then, I had to get myself a green colour corrector. I've tried several brands but most caused my makeup to be cakey after a few hours. I was never fond of Bourjois, but decided to give their product a try. I bought myself Lovely Redness Correcting Base which helps with the redness of my skin, especially when unwanted pimples decide to make their grand entrance.
I used the correcting base underneath my concealer. Just a small dab on top of my pimples and then covered by my concealer, helps my skin look flawless. I was afraid that the green base might show through my foundation before, but as usual, it was just a figment of my imagination. As a plus point, the base also helps with the shine produced by my overzealous oil glands.
Looks like I've just added a new brand/product on my "loved cosmetics" list!
This brand is much more raved about in the UK side of YouTube gurus, but I was just so glad it's also available to us, though a much smaller range and also that bit pricier. It does come across as a high-end drugstore brand, and it does perform pretty much so too!
I was on the hunt for a red lippie, cos yo gurrls out there, a red lip is all you need to go fashiontastic. HAHA. But I found mine at Bourjois, in number 13 Rouge Jet Set. It is a true true red with a cooler-neutral undertone. And it might come across really daunting at first for all the redness in the world, but it really pays off on my lips. It is really creamy and has a glossy finish. The packaging is also really sleek and classy, which makes you feel better for the money you spend ;)
I'm currently considering trying their Healthy Mix Foundation, having heard so much good things about it. But many have also said that it's not recommended for oilier girls. :/ What do you say?
I bought their Healthy Mix in the shade of 52 Vanille when I saw it retailing in France. The coverage is amazing and possesses that very subtle Vanilla scent.
The foundation is said to be able to give your face radiance, to hydrate it such that it provides a luminous glow and I've tried enough to say that it's as true as acclaimed! The fruit therapy formula doesn't make my face look dewy hours after application nor does it oxidize, resulting in a color change.
I've also got their Bourjois Light Concentrate eyeshadow along with the foundation and it works miracles to brighten up my tired eyes every single time! The powder is quite pigmented so you don't really have to waste time building up layers. It lasts for those long days too!
I've seen Bourjois at Watsons, as well as mega stores like Metro, John Little and Robinsons!
I used to be a fan of the Healthy Mix foundation because of it's superb oil-control ability and fluid , thin and light texture but Bourjois discontinued it in Singapore :( You can still get it from Asos.com if you really want it! I am not much of a foundation person but I like to have choices. I prefer BB cream on most days but sometimes I would like to switch it up to something else. Girls... we are all fickle things! So I was down to the last few pumps of my Healthy Mix and decided to go get some more (that's when I realize it was discontinued) and I was recommended the 123 Perfect foundation instead.
To my surprise, I liked it even better than Healthy Mix! The foundation covered better and blended even better. It was like an improved version of Healthy Mix. I couldn't be more in love. I could even skip concealing my redness when using this foundation. I am a NC25-30 and I use shade 53. Price is on the pricier side for drugstore product but hey, I heard Bourjois is a sister brand of Chanel and their foundations are made at the same factory! Nice French product that won't burst your wallet like Chanel. Highly recommend the 123 Perfect Foundation. Getting a flawless face is as easy as 123!
