Sephora is well known to be a girl’s haven, with popular and high end makeup brands sold here. Some of the products are Sephora exclusive, which makes it a rarity to find it anywhere else on the island. Everything in Sephora is positioned in a straightforward manner, which makes it easier to look for the products you need.
It’s tough to resist the brightly lit display and alluring packaging but the price definitely puts me in my place. Some of these items are too luxurious and expensive for a student like myself, but it’s always fun try them out. The fragrance area is one of my favorite places in Sephora to be, simply because I get to test out whichever scent I’m interested in without any pressure.
A great alternative to these expensive brands would be their house brand, Sephora. Not only are they appealing with their sleek and minimalistic packaging, their products are much more affordable. Quality isn’t compromised with the price of Sephora’s products, I have been using some products for a few years and it still serves me well.
Sephora is essentially a cosmetics wonderland. All the brands stocked here are high-end and of top quality. No dodgy brands or products here.
Entering the store, you will be greeted by all these different counters on top of which rows and rows of colorful, shiny products are displayed. I like that almost everything here has a tester bottle for customers to try them out first. This is great, as long as you don’t go overboard with the amount you use.
The Sephora staff, easily recognizable in their all-black outfits, often walk around the store handing out baskets and are happy to answer any queries. Also, did you know that Sephora has their own house brand? This includes body wash, shampoo and nail polish. I have tried some of these products out and find them not bad!
All in all, Sephora is a good place for your beauty needs. You can be assured that here, you really get what you pay for.
One is unable to resist the excitement upon seeing well-designed displays and endless rows of color palettes. Sephora's everywhere, it's paradise to every girl's face. Imagine walking down the aisle of all shades of pink lipstick, blushers and eye shadows.
Sephora's the place to have any kind of blemish fixed. It's like a box that has everything you need in it, a variety of products so wide that you would definitely be able to find the one that's "made for you".
Personally, I don't feel the need to splurge over $50 for a bottle of foundation, because most of the time drugstore products work just as well, but if I had to get something from Sephora, I would usually get the brand "Sephora" because it's reasonably priced. Full of coverage, SPF, silk-smooth, oil-free all in one foundation, this sums it all up, I wouldn't spend $70 on a high end product when I can get the a replica of the product for a cheaper price.
Beauty ambassadors are all around the store, eagerly awaiting for you to touch one of the testers. The moment you do, they would to come to you and help you out and exclaim how great the product is. It's hard to say "no" after they introduce you the product and tried it on you, cause you wouldn't know how to reject them.
I'm glad that Sephora has such a wide variety of items. The price range of each product can be extremely different, but I would still recommend looking at the lower prices first before touching any testers that are out of your budget. This is because the beauty ambassadors there would be able to convince you to blow your budget unless you've the willpower to say no.
I often visit Sephora and would always hunt for new beauty products that my favourite youtube beauty gurus recommends. From Zoella's bath body scrub to Blair Fowler's foundation, Sephora holds big quality brand names that beauty gurus rave about.
I prefer going to the store in Ion, it filled with bright lights and hit music were blasting through the speakers. I feel like I'm entering a make up show. I often purchase some of their own home brand products as they are cheaper alternatives. The make up brushes are really soft and have lasted me 3 years of daily use.
As a member, you would be entitled to free samples and great promotions. Best thing about that is its free. This year, I received a travel kit palette for my birthday. The eyeshadows are pigmented and the lip gloss stays on all day.
To the best of my knowledge, Sephora is the only high-end cosmetic “supermarket” found in Singapore. As a student, my spending power is very limited, thus I cannot afford most of the products there. Having said that, one of the perks of shopping at sephora is definitely the wide range of brands they carry. These include Makeup Forever, Tarte, Laura Mercier and Benefit. Not to forget, their extremely friendly and helpful sales assistants!
I was invited to join their member’s program after purchasing a few tubes of lip balm. Do sign up when given the chance, as they have special events and discounts for members. Just recently, Sephora celebrated their 5th anniversary at their Ion branch, where they invited members to their private party. Oh boy, do you NEED to score an invite if you are a makeup junkie. Think exclusive discounts, special freebies, just to name a few exciting perks.
Definitely a place to pop by for all cosmetics addicts.
Founded in France in 1970 by Dominique Mandonnaud, Sephora is a beauty retail departmental store operating in 27 countries worldwide, managed by the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) group. Sephora stores are designed to be open with clean lines, and splashes of colour, and their relatively large floor space is organised neatly. While Sephora caters mostly to women, they do carry a line of products for men as well.
Sephora has an extensive range of products for ladies, including skin care, makeup, nail care, fragrance, bath & body care, facial care, styling, and hair care. Sephora has a smaller, but sufficient range of products for men, including hair care, skin care, facial care, bath & body care, fragrance, and even makeup! You'll be able to find most major beauty brands in Sephora, and they even have their own house brand, developed by their team of beauty professionals under the 'Science Of Sephora' education program.
Sephora is noted for revolutionising the beauty industry, as Dominique Mandonnaud was the first to introduce the 'Beauty Advisor' concept, replacing sales representatives with 'Beauty Advisors' who would give customers beauty tips and ideas, as well as allow customers the freedom to explore the store and test the products. This concept is still going strong in Sephora, and staff today are knowledgable, friendly, welcoming, and efficient.
The Sephora line of products under their house brand is beautifully packaged, with different colours representing a different functionality of the product. I generally find their range of products for men to be good, easy to understand and use. Prices vary widely depending on product, ranging from very cheap, to extremely expensive. Generally, the Beauty Advisors will be able to assist you, but visit Sephora with your requirements and they'll be able to assist.
Cosmetics, fragrances, lotions, skin care products, all just in one stop. From Mac, to Dior, Make up Forever to Juicy Couture and so on, there is no reason why you should not patronize this store.
I love how Sephora have counters for almost all the product brands I use. Especially if you use brushes to do your daily makeup, you have to own a good brush cleanser and so far, make up forever's instant brush cleanser are the best. And where can you find their counters in Singapore? Only available in Sephora!
They offer pretty and fanciful packaging for some products and it's definitely the place place to get presents for your girlfriends especially since Christmas is just round the corner!
Sephora has definitely done me well in the past years, being my one stop shop for all my make up items. they carry a load of brands and the staff there are usually quite helpful too. I usually shop that the sephora in the newly opened jem and I appreciate how crowding isnt much of an issue there, it allows me to patiently try out all the make up to find out what is actually suitable for me instead of hastily buying something just to get out of the store.
The make up removers placed around the store is also a big plus and it keeps me from looking stupid leaving the store with streaks all over my hands. The counters are also neatly arranged making shopping quite a breeze, they usually also have a good stock of products, hardly running out of items, which can be a hassle in most cases.
Sephora would be definitely be the one stop that all makeup junkies cannot miss. That includes myself of course! I go there once or twice a month, depending on what I need to stock up. Housing brands like Benefit, Urban Decay, Laneige and many more, it is definitely more convenient to get stuff from the store as compared to ordering online.
I love that the service staff is always ever friendly and ready to help. If they see you browsing, they never fail to render their services with a big smile and offer you a basket. Love their make up and skincare advice(s) as well, very helpful for beginners trying to buy and wear makeup. They even offer to help you put the makeup on. A tip would be to ask for samples if you're not 100% sure you want to purchase the item.
Although the products can be pricey, it's definitely worth it! You are paying for the quality, brand and authenticity for the product. As they often say, no pain no gain and beauty is undoubtedly worth the price!
I have something to confess.
I absolutely love make up, and since Sephora is EVERYTHING make up..
Let's face it. I can't walk past a Sephora store without walking IN.
First off, the products sold at Sephora are of the highest quality, with many different make up brands that cater to different types of customers. Personally, I head straight for the Urban Decay counters whenever i enter a Sephora store. The brand is just so dark and edgy and grungy, I love it!
The assistants in Sephora stores have been nothing but kind, smiley and helpful. They don't hesitate to approach you and ask if you need any help, and they are always on point and alert to my needs. I wish they would bring in more brands like Kat Von D's make up line, but what is already offered in the store is great!
