Not the best, in my opinion...
If you have bothered to read my reviews, you would know that the best doughnuts in my opinion right now would be Donut Factory. I did give J.Co Donuts a try because of hearsay that their doughnuts are the best so far, but I beg to differ (don't judge me please!)...
The flavours never attracted my attention initially, and I always gave it a miss. I got my hands on a J.Co doughnut after my dad bought takeaway. I will say, after trying some of the flavours, I did like the taste, but I still do not find their doughnuts as good as my current number one, sorry to say so... I did like their oreo and strawberry flavoured doughnuts though. Pretty yummy!
I will admit that this is based on an experience quite a long time ago, so maybe eventually, I will give it another shot. Maybe, just maybe, it could be because I had takeaway, instead of eating it there. Who knows? I may have a changed opinion after my second try, but I am not exactly getting my hopes up though...!
Do not be mislead by their name! Yes, they do sell a wide variety of delicious donuts, but they also sell fro-yo - frozen yogurt ice cream! Their ice cream is a definite must try.
Their yogurt may burn a hole in your pocket, for it is extremely overpriced. However, do choose the 'sharing' proportion, suitable for two people! It comes with two 'towers' of yogurt ice cream, plus four types of toppings; and all for the price of just $6 for two!
Apart from having refreshing and thirst quenching yogurt ice creams, they have donuts which are freshly baked and come with unique combinations of icing. Due to its popularity, there is an extremely long queue, more often than not. But fret not, the queue moves pretty quickly.
When buying the donuts, I recommend buying many at one go; say maybe the box of 6. Buying just one will probably just leave you with buyer's regret after that, because you just cannot get enough of their donuts! Even after eating two donuts, I still crave for more. Plus, it will probably get snapped up in no time if you have a family to share them with.
Although many students will probably fill up the restaurant with their books, it still is a great place to hang out with friends. It provides a cosy environment and you do not feel the rush to leave after eating.
Best donuts ever..?
They are probably better donuts in Singapore, but so far for me, J. Co has the best. I cannot pass an outlet without succumbing to at least one donut, that's how much I love them.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but I especially adore their "Snow White" donuts, which are just plain donuts with icing sugar. But they're really generous with their sugar so you'll probably be left with very sugary lips! Ugh, so yummy. It'll be amazing if they have a wider range of donuts!
The best part is they're all so affordable, so if you feel like it, you can have donuts everyday (not very healthy though!).
The staffs are almost always friendly, there were a few times when they made me laugh.. they're that friendly. Good donuts, amazing service, what more do you want?
Oh but I'm not such a fan of their beverages though. The one time I tried their frappe, it was horrible and I had to throw it away.
There is always a queue at any J Co Donuts outlet, and with good reason too. They have an amazing variety of doughnuts on their menu as well as a cool selection of hot and cold beverages.
I'm especially crazy about their Blackforest Delight doughnut. The grape jelly topped with chocolate flakes sprinkled all over when eaten warm is simply fabulous. To say that it melts in your mouth in simply an understatement. My ideal teatime would be a couple of Blackforest doughnuts complemented with a cool and thick Oreo Milkshake, and I'm settled!
I've been to the outlets at TampinesOne and Bugis Junction, and I must say that although the general ambience of their outlets is lively, I feel that at times it can get a tad too noisy to have a proper conversation. All in all, a place for doughnut lovers!

Do nut miss this place
People usually pack their donuts and go, but for J.CO in particular, I prefer having my donuts in the cafe itself - paired with an ice-cold, chocolate drink.
What separates J.CO from other donut shops is exactly that - their extensive range of beverages. I love getting just a simple Iced Chocolate paired with any kind of chocolate donut. It’s kind of like a budget version of Starbucks - a cafe with yummier, chocolate or yoghurt drinks, and reasonably priced, baked treats. J.CO is great for small groups of friends too - you guys can grab a box of donuts, a drink each, and just chill the afternoon away - something I do with my family at J.CO often.
Yes, all my family members are fans of J.CO. Sometimes my mum would bring home a box on a random day, and it instantly feels like Christmas! Except that instead of the latest game console, I get my favourite oreo donuts - which are almost as good.
Whenever I head over to J.CO, I always get the donuts to go as I'm certain I'll make a mess from gobbling them all down. J.CO's donuts are great; they're soft but have just the right amount of crispiness, and the toppings are rich yet not too overpowering. Their scent coaxes you to return for another treat. The coffee there is decent but I think they don't go well with the donuts. The yoghurt there is good as well. The texture is tender and creamy, and it's great to indulge in on a hot day.
Just a week ago, I had coffee with a old friend at the J.CO outlet at Bugis Junction. It's located under the escalators, which causes the store to bask in a shade of darkness. Though the noise is a big disincentive, the atmosphere is relaxing due to its dim lighting. It helps especially if you've been bugged by a couple of annoying colleagues or irritating schoolmates recently, as it allows you to feel like you're in a hide-out. Unless you're spotted, of course.
Favorite Donut Store
My favorite Donut store! I've never really patronized any other stores after my first bite into a J.Co donut or thought any was near comparable. I love their variety which includes bite-sized variants for those who'd like a try at every flavor. Their drinks are good too! Especially their Cafe Avocado; a smooth milky blend with hints of chocolate!
Their donuts might be a little sweet for first-timers but it grows on you! They are also not dry as most of them has inner fillings of creams; cream/chocolate/coffee-flavored cheese, depending on your choice of donuts.
They have a really small seating area for those who'd like to dine in but as most of their customers order take-aways, fret not about not being able to find a seat!
Soft, chewy, heavenly!
I love the oreo doughnuts at JCO! In my opinion, they have the best oreo doughnuts ever. I enjoy picking up oreo doughuts at the Bugis outlet as it is more convenient for me as I normally have dinners there on Friday, and that would be the nearest JCO outlet to me. The doughnuts are affordable, and I'm certainly spoiled for choice each time I visit JCO due to the wide variety of flavours JCO offers.
The oreo doughuts have a rich and creamy cream topping, followed by bits of oreo. When warm, these doughnuts are simply heavenly. The doughnut itself is also not too oily and it is soft and chewy, something that I would look for in a good doughnut.
The ambiance is rather urban and comfortable, and they have friendly and efficient service. I definitely enjoy JCO doughnuts the most and would definitely go back for more!
When the first donut craze that was brought into singapore a few years ago by Donut Factory, many shops started to see the business opportunities in selling donuts. J.CO Donuts is one of the stores that sells donuts. They are not only selling donuts but freshly brewed coffee as well! It's actually a cafe suitable for afternoon tea, after some shopping done and have some rest at J.CO cafe with a piece of donut and a cup of coffee to pass your lazy afternoon.
I like their donuts as they are not too sweet for me nor does it feel fattening for the girls. It blends well with the taste of freshly brewed coffee, a mixture of sweetness from the donut with the fragrant coffee aroma, it is the best way to enjoy life.
If you're a big fan of donuts, you'll be spoiled for choices! J.CO Donuts and Coffee's donuts not only looks good, but insanely yummy too!
My favorites are definitely Heaven Berry and Why Nut donuts. Heaven Berry, as simple as it is, topped with rich strawberry cream is probably the best donut I ever had. Whilst Why Nut donut contains peanut butter filling topped with white chocolate, how cool is this combination!
Most importantly, these uber tasty donuts come at a great bargain which is no more than $5.
Obviously just great food can't be enough, J.CO Donuts and Coffee serves delicious beverages too such as the Choco Forest Freeze which is satisfactorily good for me whom is exceptionally fussy when it comes to chocolaty drinks.
A great hangout place with family and friends too!
Great donuts at low cost!
J. Co Donuts and Coffee probably serve the best donuts I have ever had so far. They serve a total of 9 different flavours ranging from Cheese Me Up to their Choco Caviar Strawberry. However my favourite is still their Mr Green Tea! Best part of it, they are priced within the range of $1.30 to $1.60. It is so affordable. You can get a dozen of them at less than 15 bucks and the breakfast for the entire family is settled! How convenient and worthwhile is that? Besides being served for breakfast, you can also enjoy these marvellous donuts and enjoy high time session with friends in a warm and cosy environment.
donuts and more
Donuts serve as a wonderful afternoon snack and are the yummiest ( and economical) gift ideas too. J.CO Donuts do not have many outlets in Singapore but wherever they do, the long queues speak for themselves. The outlet I usually frequent is at Bugis Junction.
It is definitely cheaper and makes more sense to buy by the dozen or half a dozen and share the cost among your peers or colleagues.
What surprised me the most is that they not only have the usual sweet donuts most places have but also savoury ones like cheese and tomato donuts. It's the perfect alternative to the regular sandwich or cheese buns we get from bakeries as the ingredients used in the donuts made by J.CO are definitely healthier.
Don't be surprised if you happen to see a long queue at J.CO Donuts & Coffee. If you think people will get second thoughts after seeing the long queue, think again. It doesn't stop frequent customers from queuing up to purchase their favourite donuts. While most people come for the donuts, it's the drinks that I'm here for. Maybe it's got to do with the fact that I love fruit juices. Anyway, the Orange Freeze is a must try.
Some people may feel that donuts are junk food but well, not exactly. You see, J.CO Donuts & Coffee uses healthy ingredients such as cheese(which reduces high blood pressure), coco loco(great source of catechins, a type of antioxidant) and alcapone. This almond is cholesterol free and doesn't include any harmful trans fats.
For me, I always order Chamomile tea as it minimize menstrual cramps. So to all the ladies out there, be sure to remember this! Not only that, Chamomile tea also helps with insomnia.
One issue is that there are very little J.CO Donuts & Coffee around in Singapore.
A dozen of happiness
Ever heard of eating makes you happy? Well for me this donut is stuffed with happiness and everything nice. This was introduced to me back in 2010 and i was at first not a fond lover of donuts and did not catch on the trend of donut eating. However, after trying the first bite, I was utterly convinced.
The first time I ate this was at Bugis Junction. She offered to buy something to cheer me up and I being a skeptic did not know what could cheer such a grouch like me. Nonetheless, I open my mouth to the unknown food substance known as donut and took a reluctant bite. Happiness seemed to burst forth from the stuffed tiramisu donut onto my face and all over. I never felt so happy tasting such a sweet product. It is not overly sweet or creamy but a nice blend of both with a strong taste to assert just exactly what flavour you were eating. The breaded cover was soft and moist and with happiness ringing in my head, I went ahead and ordered a whole dozen, filled with as much stuffed flavours as possible.
I ordered avocado, oreo, tiramisu, strawberry and blueberry. My favourite have got to be oreo and tiramisu. The strawberry and blueberry had a bit of sweet and sour relationship going on and I did not fancy the avocado because I find the taste a bit adventurous.
