A nail in my foot, as well as in the coffin of Mambo

You know when you walk past a venue mistaking it for a building site, the days not off to a good start. Standing on a nail halfway through the event also isn’t exactly ideal but I soldiered on as you do when you’re at a party on the beach. Brave I know. Unfortunately I was really excited to spend the day at Mambo Beach Club for a birthday party, and was let down massively. I imagined a day relaxing in the beach club, drinks being served and dipping in and out of the pool. What I had instead was a small section cornered off in the back where about 12 people could sit, hoses and building equipment scattered across the club and tiles falling off in the pool.

The location is obviously very good, right on the edge of the beach, but the novelty wears off when to get to it there’s an obstacle course of pain and tools to get past first. Only way to get served drinks at all was to go to the small pool bar pretty much as far away as you could get from our tiny corner designated to us, and of course the drinks were also overpriced.

Although we ended up having a good day, we did end up spending most of it on the beach itself and not in the building site of death. From the lack of effort given you’d think that they didn’t even know that a large party would be attending that day and the birthday goer had paid a large amount of money. It’s probably in good shape now, however their lazy attitude and the fear of rogue nails still puts me off.

Overlooking the beach

Although I have never visited this place in the night, in the day, I suppose that this place is just as charming as it would be in the night. The service staff are smiley as I walk in and they seem amicable as they greet me and offer me to a space in the spacious compound.

Being extremely particular about the spaciousness of this place, this place just fits my desciption of a holiday relaxation: it overlooks the beautiful siloso beach with an addition of the swimming pool and the classy wooden deck that allows me and my friends to chill with some drinks my the pool while enjoying the summer breeze and booze.

Definitely a place to come in the day time, where it is quite quiet. Can't say the same if there was an event held here though.
