One of the best kong bak paos I’ve had!
When I was younger and unaware of all the dangers fat posed to my arteries, I used to consume Westlake’s kong bak pao like a kid in a candy store. Nowadays, though I limit my intake as I value my life, I still eat it every once in awhile and it still manages to bring an immediate smile to my face.
What sets Westlake’s Kung Bak Baos above the rest is the pork belly. The thickly sliced pork is stewed so that it becomes tender and succulent, infusing with the caramelised sauce and leaving no room for regrets. The fat was tasty and had a melt-in-your mouth quality, and the dark soy sauce sauce sweet and divine when eaten with the white fluffy paos.
Every time I think of this sinful bun, I will think of Westlake and I will have an intense craving that refuses to leave until I satisfy it. With their Kong Bak Paos having high approval ratings from almost everyone, it’s no wonder people travel from all over Singapore to have it.
