BIG Hotel is a boutique hotel conveniently located in between Bras Basah/Bugis. I was browsing through different boutique hotels and BIG hotel caught my eye because of it’s location and price. At that point in time, they were having a promotion of $100 for 2 nights.
I was extremely pleased with my stay. Before check-in, I requested to upgrade my room for $20 and they approved. Upon arriving, I was told that I could have a free upgrade! I wasn’t sure why, but I figured that they probably had rooms available and the initial room I booked wasn’t that much different.
Being a boutique hotel, I didn’t expect much space around. The room I booked was small but really cosy, and it didn’t make me feel claustrophobic at all. Natural light streamed in from the full length window which made the room look really lovely. Everything inside the room was neatly and strategically placed. The toilet was small but extremely spa-like with a rainshower and aromatic shampoo and body soap. The best part about this hotel? There are free movies provided for you to watch in the comfort of your own bed.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience with BIG Hotel and recommend anyone looking for a short staycation to consider booking this place.
I adore this place.
I chanced upon this place on Agoda when I was looking for a last minute staycation. They had 4 rooms going for just $54 a night. It was irresistible. My friend clicked buy and off we went.
The place itself needed no finding either. It was strategically near Bras Basah. There were food and convenience stores at every turn. We didn't have to walk far to get food.
Checking in took a while but we were amazed by our room. For $50 a night, we felt like kings. The shower head was the kind that feels like it's raining - it's a fixed structure at the top of the shower room, and I took the longest standing shower I've had in a long.
They had an endless stream of HD movies and I was beyond excited to see Les Miserables and Prometheus on it. They have such recent shows on such high quality. We settled for The Dictator (tasteless but very, very crudely funny). The room was small but the tv was just right in front of a spacious and bouncy bed, so we had an easy time dozing off.
There is a Japanese inspired elevated platform that led to a small full length window. The view leaves much to be desired but with movies that amazing, you'd hardly want to look at trees.
It is a very cosy room and for the price, it was entirely worth it. I'd come back if the same promotion holds again.
