Rooms may be a little too small
I found Moon Hotel on Agoda.com and decided to give it a try. The price for a 2D1N stay was very reasonable for such a boutique hotel. It was easy for my girlfriend and I to locate the hotel via public transport.
The initial impression of the hotel was not that pleasant when we saw that the reception desk was really small. Nevertheless, staff were very pleasant and they managed to make the registration smoother than expected. We were then escorted to our room.
We were taken aback when we saw that the room was really quite compact. The bed took half the room and the rest were allocated to the shower room/toilet cubicle. There was little space for us to move around. We had no choice but to make do with the space and sit on the bed most of the time.
The best part of the stay was the alcohol buffet in the evening. Guests were invited to the lobby at the first floor and the drinks were on free flow. Although it was only for a brief two hours, we enjoyed the drinking session on the house.
Breakfast was very simple and we were not looking forward to anything better based on the amount we paid for the stay. Checking out was done without any hassle too. We were pleased with the stay. However, we may not come back a second time unless we are enticed by its attractive offer again! Haha!
Comfortable and Cozy
I have stayed in Moon hotel for a number of times and I have always been impressed by the place. It is a small boutique hotel converted from an existing shop house, and though it is small, it is precisely this smallness that I felt the coziness
Upon entry, you would be greeting by a hall which is decked in white. The staff would greet you and you could easily feel the sincerity in their eyes and smiles. As I went into my room, my first impression of the room was that it was pretty small. And it would probably not be suitable for overseas travellers who travel with big luggages, as there isn't much space for that.
The room is separated by a slightly higher flooring that marks the bedroom area, and the bed is a fluffy bedding type which makes it very cozy. The TV is connect to some basic cable channels, and you could connect your laptop to it, oh yes, wifi is free. There is also a complimentary mini bar (which is really filled with drinks), and complimentary evening drinks and biscuits with breakfast included. Their shower is the "rainfall type" and it is really nice and comfy feel. It's worth a stay for couples as it is a nice romantic place.
There is even a suite at the top floor with a bath pool attached.
