Cheap clothing but not always gorgeous finds
This place is constantly on sale. At any given point in time, when I walk past this shop, it always beckons me to enter and tempts me to fall into the "spending sin". Then again, if the prices were not so reasonable, it would burn a hole in my wallet.
However, upon walking in, I'm faced with clothes racks that hold tightly squeezed clothing. It is difficult to manoeuvre the clothes around and look for nice clothing. Although some of the pieces are steals, the rest of them are averagely priced. That being said. one has to dig deep enough through the racks of clothing to find these clothing steals.
In my opinion, although this place has some cheap clothing, it's more of a seasonal thing. Depending on the season, you get a different style of clothes - not every season is nice. You just have to pray that you'll be lucky enough to find a steal that suitable to your sense of fashion!
Easy on the wallet and on the eyes
I was attracted to the stall at Orchard Cineleisure due to its huge adverts of $9.90 accessories and $19.90 dresses. Indeed, their items were easy on the wallet. FemmeX offers trendy clothing at reasonable prices. Muscle tees and bustier tops, for example, were going at $15. They also carry party dresses, shorts, and formal blouses, making the shop suitable for many different age groups.
However, I would say their clothing is more worth it than their accessories. One pair of ear studs (not those fancy earrings) cost $10, and a necklace that looked like shoelace woven together was $12.90.
Affordable, edgy fashion!
I kid you not when I say that Femmex is just about the most affordable webstore in Singapore. With some skirts and tops costing a little less than $20, and dresses priced well below $25, Femmex's pull factor is definitely its wallet friendly prices.
Beyond their cheap prices, Femmex also has actual depth to their clothing range. Femmex does quirky and zany. But most of all, it does edgy. And I love edgy. Think chunky, spiky accessories, oversized sweaters with loud prints or designs, and kitschy printed skirts. Not just that, Femmex has an amazing range of black dresses in every possible design - meshed, peplum, netted, cut-outs, long, short, not to mention extremely short.
Their webstore makes for amazing browsing as well with their in-house Caucasian model. Being a little on the lanky side myself, it worries me when other blogshops choose to use models that are slightly short as they probably aren't a good gauge of how the clothes would look like on me (I mean, I've ever seen this blogshop that had a model of height 155cm - this puzzles me immensely). But with Femmex, their gorgeous, tall model (with the amazing cheekbones) definitely makes me feel safer about my purchases!
