Muddy Murphy's Hot
It is testimony to the strength of the Irish Pub concept that Muddy Murphy's is one of the oldest traditional pubs in Singapore. The success of "Muddy's" is driven by having achieved that delicate balance between tuning in to the needs of local and foreign clientele whilst retaining an essentially Irish atmosphere. Located in the basement and lower ground floor of Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade next to the 4-star Orchard Hotel, Muddy Murphy's comprises an open-air "farm yard" and an air-conditioned "traditional Irish cottage pub" dating back to 1840 indoors. Muddy Murphy's was designed and built to scale in Dublin, Ireland 15 years ago. It was then disassembled and shipped to Singapore [in six 40-foot containers] and installed at its current location by 15 specialist Irish Pub fitters. There can be no expense was spared in re-creating the magic of the Emerald Isle 7,000 miles away!

Very laid back pub
This bar is the perfect place to sit back and relax with your mates after a long day's work. The furnishing has a lot of heavy wood in them and it lends to the pub a very Irish feel to it. You will find a lot caucasians just hanging out there too, which adds on to the entire feel of it.
The drinks selection are pretty much standard and they do serve my favorite strongbow cider. Kudos to that :D Food wise they do have a fair bit of selection, and I tried the Combo Basket, which was pretty good. They also have a Sunday brunch menu that I've yet to try but it looks delicious!
Being an Irish pub, it is almost mandatory to have live music. Unfortunately, there wasn't a band playing on the day I was there because there was a huge football matchup (yes it doubles up as a sports pub as well). From what I've heard though is that the music is pretty good. Don't expect covers of the top 40 hits on the radio though as I believe the bands mostly play songs that are a bit more "rockish".
great place to enjoy the live band and beers
At Muddy Murphy’s, everyday is dress-down day. And it is common to see people entering the pub in t-shirts, shorts and slippers. I, for one, usually turn up in that attire.
Muddy Murphy’s is split into two areas, one for watching the live soccer match and another to enjoy music by the live band. With a pint of Strongbow in hand, I like to arrive early on Saturdays, before the band plays, to watch the soccer match. For snacks, the onion rings are worth a try. The band changes frequently, yet it never fails to surprise me. It is rather loud though, so do not expect to hold many conversations with friends. The food prices are generally expensive, so it is best to go after dinner for the drinks. It is a great place to go with friends, to enjoy the soccer match or listening to the live band, or just going alone to unwind.
Although it is located near Orchard Towers, and many people may find the area a bit too sleezy for their comfort, Muddy Murphy’s entertains proper customers, and is unlike the nearby pubs and KTV outlets in the area.
