One of the best alfresco brunch spots in Singapore

Singapore is a really hot place all year round with temperatures averaging on 30 degrees. As such, it is always difficult to find good places to enjoy alfresco dining.

However, eM by the River is one such place which offers a more cooling alfresco dining, given that there is really good shade, tons of greenery and the restaurant is located just next to Singapore river. We managed to dine there for one hour without sweating at all.

On top of that, the design of this cafe is extremely gorgeous and unique.

Be sure to try the awesome egg benedicts and home made pancakes!

Classy place with a view

But much less is to say about the crowd here.

I am coerced into giving an excellent service rating because one of my better guyfriends is a bartender here and I got a chance to visit this place with his help so, the bartenders here are sexy and make a mean mocktail. Yum yum.

But moving on. I guess I didn't enjoy myself? I went with a girlfriend and we didn't have a good time. Everyone here is mainly Caucasian and they were hanging around their own groups. The girls here are.. not as reserved and are very loud and willing for the visibly richer at this place.

Moral of the story I learnt from that short-lived visit is that if your wallet is not thick enough or your car key isn't dangling evidently on your pocket, you should just go home. No one will notice you.

I wouldn't come again despite the breathtaking view. Not worth it.
