The moistest chocolate cake ever

When one thinks of chocolate cake, either Awfully Chocolate or Lana Cake Station comes to mind. While Jane’s Cake Station may not enjoy the same household recognition, I for one, think that it’s the most deserving of the title of best chocolate cake in Singapore. Moister than Lana and fluffier than Awfully Chocolate, it’s basically a chocolate cloud on steroids with some chocolate frosting in between.

One thing to note is that Jane’s Cake Station only sells whole cakes, so if you’re only up for a slice of cake, you’ll be better off buying from Awfully Chocolate. But hey, you can never eat too much chocolate cake!

The next time you’re at Jalan Kayu for your prata fix, swing by Jane’s cake station too. Oh so ulu but worth traveling to if you’re a chocolate fanatic like me.

Cakes that have stood the test of time.

Located at Jalan Kayu, Jane’s Cake Station is an unassuming store that sells only two types of cake. Yes, you read that right. TWO. And yet they can survive for more than a decade which obviously shows how amazing their cakes are.

The two flavours offered are their Durian Cake and Chocolate Fudge Cake. Both cakes were beautifully moist and soft, and was not overwhelmingly sweet like most cakes are nowadays. I personally preferred the chocolate cake over the durian cake as the durian cake had a slight artificial flavour to it. It might have been better to have had more durian pulp infused within the cake. However, given that it’s priced for less than $50 for a whole durian cake, I ain’t complaining! On the other hand, the chocolate fudge cake was chocolatey but not overly rich, which saw me downing spoonfuls after spoonfuls.

Also note that Jane’s Cake Station only sells an entire cake, so don’t come here expecting to just get a slice! Anyway, one isn’t enough. #justsaying

Too Delicious!

Jane's Cake Station is one of the best selling cake shops ever! I can go crazy over the chocolate cakes and I can assure you that its cake is somehow a little different from others.

The filling in the cake is always oozing out when you have a bite of the cake. Most importantly, the cake isn't too sweet and is suitable for elderly.

I will definitely patronize Jane's cake station again if I need a cake for any celebrations in future.

Awesome chocolate fudge cake!

I first heard of this bakery when I was at my aunt's house to celebrate her birthday. My Mom heard that it was famous for its chocolate fudge cake and we thus we made the trip down to Jalan Kayu to buy it for my aunt.

When I first saw the menu, I knew Jane's cake station isn't famous for its variety of cakes; but for it's quality. There were only two types of cakes they had for sale- chocolate and durian. Knowing that my aunt was a chocolate lover, we had no issues with deciding what to buy.

For the taste, although this happened quite a few years ago, I can still remember how the chocolate cake tasted. The generous layer of chocolate fudge wasn't too sweet and when served chilled, it was truly a refreshing experience. It isn't the type of creamy chocolate cake that you'll get sick of after a few bites. It's totally the opposite. I found myself wanting more after the first slice. And that to me, is a marker for whether a cake is delicious or not.

So for me, I think it's worth the money. Not a lot of variety but if you're looking for top quality cakes, Jane's cake station is the place to go.

So for me, the next thing I wanna do I to try their Durian Cake! Heh.
