chocolatey decadent goodness in a bite
P.Osh brownies have got to be one of the better bakeries around. Their brownie recipes are tweaked perfectly to give you a balance of sweetness and chewiness, it was love at first bite. They're also packaged in a cute medicinal pill bag, which warns "may cause sever addiction".
The first time I tried it, I was skeptical because not every brownie could satisfy me. Only the super chocolatey AND chewy ones stand a chance. P.Osh not only stole my heart, it had me wanting more. I once bought 6 at a go and finished them up in 3 days.
I definitely recommend P.Osh to any chocolate and brownie lover! They have a variety of flavors too.
Caution: extremely addictive
My love for this place began when my friend gave one to me and I tasted the chocolatey goodness. With that bite, I knew I had to track down this shop.
When I found it, I was surprised to see they had a such a wide variety. I always thought brownies would just have one flavour, but they had sea salt caramel, chocolate mint, peanut butter. A flavour worth mentioning is the Chill. E Choc brownies, which are basically an interesting mix of chilli and chocolate. The combination was better than expected, but it was a tad too spicy for me to enjoy as a dessert. Still worth trying out though, especially if you like spicy food, or feel adventurous. On the bright side, the original was as good as I remembered. Chewy, not too sweet, and just the right texture.
A plus point is their adorable packaging. It comes in the same sealed bags that pills are in, and has warning labels like: may cause severe addiction. The service is also really good, they're extremely friendly and I was quite impressed to see how painstakingly they were placing every M&M on the brownie - they take pride in their work!
The cheesecakes also caught my eye, with a digestive biscuit base and a promise that it will be proper cheese, they sound too good to pass up. They were having a one for one promotion for their milkshakes as well, but I was too full after the brownies to try anything else. Looks like I'll have to go back a third time, maybe I AM becoming addicted.
Best brownies ever! And that is not an overstatement.
P.Osh offers a whole range of different flavored brownies, from sweet chocolate assortments to the savory classic peanut butter & jelly. One bite into those rich, dark chocolate-coloured brownies, and an entire bubble of flavors bursts in your mouth! The moist centre and the crisp top create a wonderful textural sensation that is like no other.
For a sweet-tooth like me, I would recommend my favorite the m&m topped brownie with vanilla glaze. For caffeine lovers, the coffee brownie is an amazing choice, and for those who are adventurous, I dare you to try the Chill.E Choc brownie. The spice will definitely tingle those taste buds!
For dessert fanatics, P.Osh also offers a variety of cookies and cheesecakes to choose from, and they're all quality bakes.
I love P.osh's brownies! They are nice and moist without being too soft. They are avalible in small rectangular blocks, all iced beautifully. My mother, who works nearby the Dhoby Ghaut outlet, used to occasionally bring home a box of P.osh, to surprise my siblings and I.
Once, I even had a customised birthday brownie cake from P.osh with my name and a "Happy Birthday" iced on it. Every slice was heavenly and I daresay it was one of my favourite birthday cakes ever!
I recommend P.osh to everybody, young and old. Their sweet treats have never disappointed me and are sure to delight, if not impress, you :)
Would buy again
I've only ever tried Posh's brownies, and they were bought by someone else, so I cannot comment on the service or ambience of the store.
However, I was very impressed by the packaging and taste of the brownie. It was housed in a very cute, plastic packaging, with attractive fonts and witty sayings printed on it. The brownie was quite big as well, and taste-wise, it was comparable to brownies I've had at other, more established bakeries and cafes. The most impressive part for me was that Posh's brownies are apparently of lower calories than others, so to be able to achieve a comparable taste is quite a feat.
The price is also pretty good, it was $2 and at other places, a brownie of this size could have gone up to $4+. Definitely will buy again.
Since one of the outlets of P.Osh was located near my school vicinity, I always made a 5 minutes walk down the street to get my favourite brownie before I head home.
Apart from its yummy brownie, its unique packaging contributes partly to the reason why I love purchasing P.Osh brownies! It has a packaging like that of a doctor's prescription and I was so amused by it when I first saw it.
The prices of its brownie varies accordingly to sizes as well as the toppings you ask for. I highly recommend you to try it if you haven't. However, some people may not fancy it as it may taste a little too sweet for them.
The first time I got this brownie was from my school canteen, I just thought it is just a simple normal brownie; if I were to say the only thing special I spotted that time was the packaging. The packaging is like a doctor prescription, which is really interesting and cute. I didn't have a very good impression of brownie since young for unknown reasons, so I would avoid taking brownies if I can, but that time when I got it, I have to say it was delicious, so good that I went back for more. Having it just make me feel so contented and happy. It is relatively affordable for such a tasteful treat, definitely worth a buy!
If only doctors were to prescribe brownies...
I love their brownies. The first time I had them, I was a little hesitant. They didn't look like they had anything special to them but the first bite I took quickly became a huge gulp. I really can't remember what the name was but it was chocolate something-something. Lots of chocolate and nuts....macadamia and the other was walnut.
The cutest thing about them was when my wife came home one day from work and she brought home brownies wrapped in little plastic wrappers that looked like prescription bags. I really thought that it was clever and was secretly hoping that doctors really prescribe brownies to keep you happy.
The brownie that deserves recognition!
Whenever I’m looking for a sugary treat in Dhoby Ghaut, I head to P.Osh brownies! Their brownies are delicious, incredibly chewy and the flavors are unique! I first heard of this shop from a relative and on a day where I was wrecking my brains to decide on a gift I should get for a friend returning from Australia, I chanced upon the shop.
The shop is small and does not look that grand but the service of the staff is excellent and I could tell that they enjoyed designing the brownies. Tried a brownie for myself and ordered a normal brownie with a personalized message for my friend. The shop assistant smartly asked if the gift was for a boy or a girl and I replied that it was for a girl. She expertly designed my message onto the brownie, added pretty pink designs and I did not have long to wait before my brownie order was complete.
What I love about this shop besides the delicious and affordable brownies is the service of the staff. The shop assistant was very patient with my questions and she was also the brownie designer who completed the splendid design. I honestly believe that PO.sh deserves more recognition!
The brownie I had was packaged in a simple white plastic (translucent), with the nutritional details printed on it. They had some comic description and the packaging was supposed to be some kind of medicine prescription if I recall correctly.
Slightly amusing, but hardly consequential. No one reads the packaging! You want the chocolate goodness inside! Open the package and a plain looking rectangular brownie says hi to you. Take a whiff and sink your teeth into the innocuous looking thing. A second later your mouth fills with soft chewy brownie and you close your eyes and you imagine you're in heaven. Pair with cold milk and you're happy the rest of your day.
They don't look posh, so I have no idea why they market it as such. However, their brownie is delicious and relatively affordable ($2 for one) which makes this a win in my opinion.
