A heartland find
There is always that unremarkable bakery in the neighbourhood where you grab a bite for sustenance and you don't really dare to hold much expectations in regards to quality.
Beijing confectionery is located in the heartlands but is certainly not one of those bakery! My favourites from the store include their banana cake and walnut cake and they are all very affordable! The food there is so good that I would actually go all the way there to purchase my confectionery instead of just purchasing it from the bakery near my house! Those living near the shop are definitely very lucky!
My favourite home-snacks place!
Located in the heartland, it is easily accessible to residents living near it. I particularly like their friendly services and being a regular customer for many years, they would inform us the time they will release new batch of freshly-baked bread or cakes when we visit. Their hygeine is good and will never sell bread that are put on the shelf for too long.
I am always looking forward to their small slices of cakes sold from about $1.50, depending on the kind of cakes. The cakes are just of the right sweetness and with only thin layer of cream so it is not so sinful for females who are on diet!
Bread comes in a small range of variety as it is not their signature items, but they are still worth looking out for, for their freshness and price.
One point to note, they are closed rather early at around 9pm. Although they may still be open after 9pm sometimes, try not to take the risk which I had done several times which lead to disappointment when I was seriously craving for their cakes!
