Breathtaking but expensive view

I've been to the Skypark a couple of times, and the view up there never fails to amaze me. It's really amazing to see the impressive buildings, structures etc under a blue sky, and the night scenery is something totally different but equally breathtaking.

Some people say that the Skypark seems to be crowded at times, but I find it okay as the place is large enough to hold lots of people. Another way is to avoid the weekends and public holidays, otherwise the place will probably be crowded.

However, the only downside of the place is its entrance fee. $20 to enter the Skypark, and we're not even allowed to access the swimming pool area. I understand that the swimming pool is only open to guests to avoid overcrowding and all, so I think MBS should lower the cost of the entrance fee, or at least introduce some discounts (eg for students, the elderly etc). Even though the view from the Skypark is good, the price isn't. You can find similar views from other buildings nearby at a much cheaper price, or even for free.

Infinity pool and beyond

When it comes to Singapore and tourism, it goes without saying that the Marina is now a modern world icon. Being the ever adventurous tourist, I had always wanted to view the building from up close and I was not disappointed when I finally got my chance last year.

The other aspect of the Marina which interested me was the infinity pool located at the very top of the building. When my friend and I got there, it was certainly a sight to behold. The view was breath taking and everyone was enjoying themselves. As a Malaysian, I have always wondered whether being in Singapore could give me the sense of being away from my homeland, since the two countries aren't that far from each other. Now I know how different Singapore is and how much more advanced it is as opposed to Malaysia.

Excellent view, great first time experience

I still remember the first time I went up, it was Day 2 after the grand opening of the skypark. The best part was, the skypark was completely unobstructed. My friend and I could access the infinity pool and walk around the entire place. The view was magnificent, and we stayed from dusk till night. The breath taking view of the Singapore skyline cannot be described in words, but you know what is the best part, we forgot to bring a camera along.

Hence, using the old 2010 phones we took a few miserable shots, but I'll never forget the awesome view of the ocean with the lights of those ocean liners in the distance. There were a lot of people, but there was sufficient space for everyone since there were no restrictions. Kind of cool and romantic, I would go back there again. Except this time it would be better to be a hotel guest, or else I won't be able to get to that infinity pool.

I love this place

I came here for a hotel staycation at their Sands suite, which meant a direct elevator up to the Skypark.

I've been here many times before and did not see the beauty of it because it's always choking full of people and their nonsense. Even the view from the inifnity pool is blocked by the hordes of tourists who never let up.

So it was a nice surprise when I went over at 10pm.

Me and my sister froze our butts off there but it was beautiful.

To see the city skyline lit up was amazing. To be able to be so high up and in the most glamorous swimming pool of Singapore added to be amazement. It was beautiful.

We relaxed by the chairs for a while and it would've been nice if they had more verdanas but it would've cost a lot of space so, I have established myself as a pointless commentor.

I'll be back.

Up up and away!

I love the Skypark, I would always visit it whenever I happen to stay in Marina Bay Sands.

The view from above is breathtaking especially when viewed at night, the urban skyline of Singapore at its finest. The infinity pool may seem intriguing initially as it looks "all so cool" and everyone tries to figure out where the water flows to, and even when the initial amusement wears off, the infinity pool adds a nice touch of class to the Skypark. Imagine MBS with just a boring old rectangular swimming pool. Nope, doesn't work. There is a restaurant as well that seems nice although I have never tried it before. Ku De Ta, a nightclub located in the Skypark, plays good music and serves well-mixed drinks (better than most clubs in Singapore) although the crowd is geared more towards matured adults.

Sky high, and that's just the prices.

I knew it was too good to be true. I went up the lift to the sky-park a few weeks ago. Someone told me that they had stopped charging an entrance fee to this so-called park. So I checked out the web site and there it is: still $20 to take a lift up to the top floor where you can wander round one and of the bendy ship.

You can walk towards the infinity pool and stare enviously at the facilities that exist only for the hotel guests. You can walk past and watch as the guests frolick in the pool and drink martinis. It feels as if you are in a zoo watching the wealthy wallow. Class distinction maybe?

Sure, you can wander over to the railings on the poor side of the divide and gaze out over Singapore and the view is great. Or you can have a drink at the high bars or buy an ice cream at the high shop or buy a tacky souvenir from the high souvenir shop. Did I say high? I meant high as in high priced..

And then you can try and get back to the lift if you can find your way around the confusing labyrinths of steps and alleys that make the so called sky park more like a Rorshach Blot Test.

Is the view worth it? Not when you can go to the top a other buildings also overlooking the city and see a similar view.

For free.

Sky high? Indeed.

Not worth the entrance fees

If you need to pay the entrance fees to access the SkyPark, I suggest you save the money and use it for other things. I cannot argue that the view was nice up there and you can get the top of the world feeling. The thing I disliked about this place was the lack of chair or even benches. It was after all a park so it should provide some seats for the visitors while they take in the views.

The swimming pool was unique with its infinity design. I had never swum there so I can only imagine what it felt like if you swam towards the edge of the pool, would you have the feeling that you were going to fall over the edge.

On top of the world

Here, you'd be blown away by the magnificence of this floor, and the view that comes with it. You wouldn't feel like you're in Singapore, but maybe somewhere one might describe as Paradise. Being on the highest floor, you will get to feel the wind in your face, and breathtaking view of the city skyline is simply amazing.

The pool is often never empty, because it is such a beautiful pool, for people of every age to enjoy the water, sun and scene. I haven't swam here before, but I definitely be going one day. It is especially popular with Caucasians who enjoy the sun, since there is plentiful up here. However, for Singaporeans who prefer to be in the shade, be sure not to come up here in the middle of the afternoon!

Simply breathtaking.

The panoramic view of the newly-completed Marina Bay Skyline is simply breath-taking. I like the design of the infinity pool as you might feel that there is nothing at all beyond the wall, making it a very unique swimming experience. Even if you do no wish to swim, just chilling out on the many deck chairs available is a already a surreal experience. I literally felt like I was at the "top of the world".

The best time to visit this place in my opinion would be in the evening. Watching the beautiful sunset as you swim freely over Marina Bay- that's definitely something everyone should experience at least once. If you have the time and money, be sure to head on down to the SkyPark for an amazing time indeed.

Every night in my dream, I see you, I feelllllllll you~

I have been to the skypark once since it opened recently and the view from above is breathtaking. The experience of simply being sooo high up with the wind in my face and my arms stretched out titanic style is enough to make the money paid worth it ;)

I went up with my whole family and the staff there were really polite and well-prepared with answers to the local and non-local visitors whilst smiling 24/7 and I thought they presented themselves very professionally so thumbs up to them! We visited the skypark when the sun was about to set so lots of great instagrammy photos were snapped with many visitors whipping out their DSLRs and phones (:

I think its a great place to chill and ideal for a date if you want a tranquil and scenic place to visit at night. Remember to reenact the roles of Jack and Rose ;)
