Elitrend is certainly attractive from afar and lures you towards its doors once you set your eyes upon it. However, you may not necessarily be tempted to purchase the items as they are rather costly for simple items such as bow hair clips and plastic frames. Similar items can be purchased elsewhere such as Bugis street for a cheaper price! However, the items do look very appealing to those leaning towards the girly or even slightly grungier styles. They keep up with the trends, stocking up with studded accessories or dainty pastels depending on the current style. It is a place that speaks for current trends!
Time to accessorize with Elitrend!
I stumbled upon Elitrend while wandering around Tampines Mall on my own, and boy, am I glad I did!
The store is packed chock-full of whatever a girl could possibly need to complete her outfit. Shades, belts, hair accessories, jewellery… you name it, they’ve got it. I really like the variety of accessories that Elitrend has. There’s pleather, studs, lace, pearls… definitely something for every girl, and at prices that won’t burn a hole in our pockets, too!
I had a themed event to attend the other time, so I went to Elitrend, hoping to find accessories to finish off my retro look. I was so glad to find that Elitrend has a good selection of headbands and scarves, and it’s these accessories that made my outfit! The quality of the jewellery there is also pretty decent, and the stock is frequently updated to keep up with trends, so it’s a really good place to find trendy accessories!
Eli sure knows what is in and out of trend!
My wallet didn't bag wads of cash. Nor was it full of chunky coins. The amount of cards I owned occupied a mere two slots. I am definitely nowhere near the word millionaire. Yet. Chanel, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Verbal Ambush. All these are a no go, thanks to my monetary misery. Unfortunately, I hold a soft spot towards accessories. They are definitely aiding my monetary drainage system; by draining it faster than ever. However, they are accessories which boost sophistication upon any ordinary attires! Hence, splurging for them are totally worthwhile.
Elitrend is definitely a shop that I frequent, to expand my accessories collection. The accessories sold there are vast and rather unique. The quality is surprisingly applaudable. Belts, shades, rings, bangles, anything. They're all there, under one roof. I am rather impressed too with how efficiently regular it took for the new stocks to arrive. Elitrend seemed to be the heart of trends; unknown to many. When chunky chains was a fad, Elitrend had them all. When moustaches were the rage, Elitrend sold them for all too. It is definitely an underdog in the fashion industry. However, thanks to it's state of being not too sky high famous, it reduces the rate of bumping into someone that brandishes the same item. Oh, limited edition I do adore!
The girl next door
The best thing that Elitrend has to offer is its affordable price tag. Most of the items can be bought at a mere $10 and under, but the styles can get repetitive and common, probably due to the fact that many in Singapore stock up from the same wholesaler.
Elitrend is good for specific and fuss free purchases i.e. if you want to purchase hair ties for normal use, then it would be a great option. It is like the girl next door — down to earth without trying hard. It would not be of much harm to pop in the store once in awhile anyway.
Elitrend has affordable and rather pretty/cute accessories which will appeal to those who love dressing up, or to display their feminine side. Although cheap, some of their goods appear to be much more valuable than the actual price, which is usually around $10. Others though, are a bit common, and I would prefer to obtain them at places like Diva, which almost constantly has ongoing sales.
However, it depends on whether one can find something which adheres to their taste, as I don't often find things suitable to my liking here. Most things stocked at the NEX outlet is too kiddish or with too much bling for my liking. One scan of the products, and I usually out of the store, without purchasing anything.
Accessories within an affordable price range
Elitrend is a relatively new accessories store that seems to have sprouted roots in several malls in Singapore at one go, and I'm definitely not complaining.
Elitrend is definitely one of the trendiest accessories stores in Singapore currently, and despite it being a relatively new brand, it is comparable to the likes of Diva and Six. However, the price range at Elitrend is certainly much more affordable, as most rings are priced at no more than $10, and necklaces and charm bracelets retail at around $10+.
Some accessories at Elitrend can be a little common, and seem as if they'd been bought off Bugis Street or a flea market. As such, I would probably say that the accessories at Elitrend can be a little of a hit or miss, as there are some unique accessories within Elitrend's collections, but also a few that certainly look cheaper than their actual cost.
Elitrend also retails several hair accessories like hair ties or head bands, so it not only caters for teens and young adults, but also kids and preteens who would like to wear something fancy-looking in their hair.
