Not too bad a place

But impossible to find.

Me and my friends are on a conquest to destroy as many hotel rooms as we can on a alcohol-first-then-comfort budget so it was eventual that we'd be here.

Thanks to a previous experience at Le Peranakan, we had reasonable hopes for this room, taking care to expect little so we won't feel the need to end our existence afterwards.

And for $60, this room is actually quite amazing.

Its roomy and the air con is quite powerful. There is a working toilet and everything is in good shape. The tiny fridge cannot keep the alcohol chilled though but small drawback, the rest of the bed is reasonably comfortable enough for a one night thing.

We had a great time with the alcohol and food and the mess and when we did wake up and see the room, I fully expected our deposit to be swallowed but it didn't. So I'm really glad this place isn't that bad.

Also a strategic location. I had school immediately after and it was a $5 cab ride when split with my friends. Not too bad.

I wouldn't come back though. On to boutique hotels!
