S.E.A. Aquarium Brings You A Merry Fishmas

At some point in our lives, we have all wanted to transport back to our childhood’s innocence and joy – even if it was just for a day. Imagine experiencing this naivete again whilst watching the sea’s most magnificent and beautiful creatures in front of your eyes. Or while you’re in the process of becoming the world’s greatest Pokémon researcher.

Well, it’s possible to experience both here at S.E.A. Aquarium. Christmas has arrived at the deep wonders of the ocean in the form of Merry Fishmas, a collection of activities prepped for you this festive season. Hang out with Scuba Santa and elves as they feed the fishes underwater, reach out and feel the aquatic animals for yourself, and test your researcher skills at the Pokémon Research Exhibition. Here’s a little preview of what you can expect.

1. You’ll get to see Scuba Santa and elves at work

Because it’s Christmas, everybody gets presents – including the animals of the ocean! Watch Santa and his helper feed the fishes, which happens three times a day at 11am, 3pm, and 4pm from 1 Dec. They’ll even give you a high five if you’re lucky.

2. … and get to have “story-time” from Mrs. Santa herself!

Cuddle up next to Mrs. Santa herself while she lovingly shares marine animal stories with you. Her voice is so warm and soft, you’ll be engrossed in no time! As well as her interesting stories, she will even explain how you can be the hero in a sea story. Listen to her advice on protecting the wild sea animals, and don’t forget to ask her any questions you have. She’ll be waiting for you from 17 Dec.

3. You’ll be able to get up and close to the sea animals

At the Discovery Touch Pool, everyone is invited to dip their hands into the habitat and see how these amazing creatures feel! You’ll be surprised at the textures of some of them, especially the sea cucumber. Despite its dark appearance, it feels just like a teddy bear! You just have to come and sea for yourself.

4. Be a Pokémon researcher for a day

S.E.A. Aquarium is wrapping up the year with the best gift of all: Pokémon. We’re the only country to have this event, apart from Japan – so it’s definitely worth a visit.

When you’re finished with the fishies, head over to the Pokémon Research Exhibition and choose your Poké Ball according to the level of difficulty you prefer. Remember to pick up the corresponding leaflet too, it comes pretty handy later on!

Each Poké Ball contains a mystery Pokémon, and you’ll have to identify it with the help of machines within the exhibition – so don’t worry about your lack of x-ray vision. You can only choose 4 machines out of 8, so think carefully about which one you choose. Pro-tip: Machines 2, 3, 4, and 7 are the most fun.

5. Plus, there are some great photo ops here!

Check out the huuuge Pokédex wall which features over 700+ Pokémon. Use it to help you find out which Pokémon you have, or you can take a selfie with it. Also, keep your eyes peeled for Professor Pikachu, all dressed up in a lab coat and tie.

6. Visit for a good cause

For every ticket purchased in December, Resorts World Sentosa will donate $10* to the Community Chest, so you can feel good for having doing your good deed of the year too. Singaporean residents get a special deal of $34, which comes with admission to S.E.A. Aquarium, Pokemon Research Exhibition and $5 retail voucher – perfect for when you want to pick up some cute merch to take home.

*Up to a maximum donation of $300,000. ^Terms and conditions apply

A blast of nostalgia

Merry Fishmas at the S.E.A. Aquarium is a great addition to any Christmas festivities you may be planning! Plus, it’s a great way to brush up your knowledge for the latest Pokémon game too. If we haven’t converted you yet – let Professor Pikachu do the convincing.
