1. Jalan Alor
Known as a food lover’s haven, Jalan Alor is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Jalan Alor is also a popular spot amongst those who go clubbing into the wee hours of the morning as many stalls are still open after 2AM.
Jalan Alor is a popular haunt for many because of the wide variety of dishes on offer. A crowd favorite is Wong Ah Wah Chicken Wings. They may be a little on the pricey side but definitely worth a try!

2. Canai Café
For many, especially those who have grown up in Subang Jaya, Canai Café is one of the most popular spots to get a late night meal because they are open 24 hours a day. Parking is also relatively easy to find after 11PM despite Canai always being so crowded.
The Keropok Lekor Cheese here is done perfectly — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and smothered in cheese sauce. As this is quite a filling dish, it is definitely better for sharing with a friend or two. Besides that, there’s the typical Roti Canai and Thosai as well as a selection of Middle Eastern food.

3. Tryst Café

Tryst is widely known for their pancake stack, drizzled with caramel or chocolate sauce and topped with sliced bananas. They do also have a full menu with hot dishes such as pastas and steak for those with a bigger appetite.

A 24-hour bakery and café chain from Taiwan, Donutes is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Even during the wee hours of the morning, there is still a vast variety of cakes, pastries and sandwiches to choose from. They also do coffees, teas and juices.

6. Devi’s Corner
Devi’s Corner in Bangsar is a hotspot for those who just want a spot to “lepak” in the middle of the night. If fast service is what you are after, it’s what you’ll get here. Even during peak hours the food here comes fast.

7. Restaurant Yan Yan A One
Besides being open 24 hours a day, this restaurant offers dim sum at a really attractive price of RM2.90 per serving! Even with the low price, the portions are generous with plenty of filling. Other than the array of dim sum, they also serve other dishes such as meats and porridges.

8. The Port
Despite being relatively new to the late night food scene, The Port has quickly gained popularity because of the reasonable prices and the generous portions of food. There’s proper meals such as Curry Mee or pasta but they also serve tidbits like Goreng Pisang Cheese and spring rolls.

10. In House Café
In House Café has many locations all over KL, however the Kota Damansara outlet is the easiest to access because of the ample parking, not to mention that the service here is usually very speedy.

I think I can safely say for every Malaysian that supper is truly the most important meal of the day.
